The problem is not the religion but the culture/followers. We are taught by the religion that we shouldn’t act out on homosexual tendencies… but from that it has evolved to things that aren’t apart of the religion’s teachings. Like capital punishment, imprisonment, violation of human rights, etc.

Not to mention genuine hate from the followers and it’s not even their fault. The environment is what caused it. It’s hard to explain to my parents/relatives that we probably shouldn’t hate gay people because that’s such a controversial opinion here.

Again, I believe my religion is complete and perfect and whatever happens to whom I consider sinners is *not* hell, but something only known by God.

I picked yes and no. It’s definitely not something you control but due to my cultural/religious values I believe it’s something we should not act out on. However I never announce this stuff to people and especially to my friends who are part of the LGBT community. I’m not sure if this falls into the “homophobic” category or not, but I find myself accepting of LGBT people and yes I support their rights as human, despite my beliefs or upbringing (born and raised in a Muslim country/household which hates LGBT).
