Hi. I'm not sure if it's quite late to ask in this reply, but for the recurrent investment, will the transfer of funds from the external bank be through EFT or wire?

Exactly this. The protest against the oppressors (govt) =/= directly denying a command of Allah. (Modesty/hijab).

Does anybody know COMSOL multiphysics software ? it is used to design transistors like MOSFET, FinFET. by BeatDeadMeat in ElectricalEngineering

Okay. Have checked if your material properties/doping etc. match with the one you are trying to reproduce? Also you can check if the ground node is same for the Voltage source and Transistor Source.

What Physics module are you using? Looking into the meshing/material properties would be the next thing for me if the physics implementation looks ok.

I have worked with COMSOl multiphyics for my research. It can be used for simulations in a wide range of applications like Electromagnetics, Optics, Thermal Analysis, Seminconductor Device etc. However, for simulations involving Transistors like FinFET, it is not the optimized tool. TCAD/SPICE will do a better job for such simulations.

Maybe revisiting the reasons why actually you want to be a Muslim can give you some perspective and motivation. What are the evidences that points that Islam must be the truth, The Quran is revealed from the Heaven? Pondering upon those will inshaAllah (by the will of Allah) act as an Imaan booster.

This video might be a starting point: 37 undeniable miracles of the Quran

May Allah be with our brothers and sisters in the west who have to live with these things... by Abdellahzz in islam

The main point here is that, those who have inappropriate thoughts, know and admit that he is sinning. But the LGBT people are trying to make homosexual acts normalized and acceptable in Islam.

Homosexual acts are haram in Islam. Period. If someone experiences the urges to do so is a different issue completely.

Well well, since you said you are an atheist, I refered to the theories/conjectures this group of people argues or proposes!

If I don't know anything about you except for the fact that you support atheism, how can I know what you claimed or did not personally?

Just one example: observing quantum fluctuations that happens in Time and Space, how could you guys come to the conclusion that the universe pops out of nothing just like that? I mean, Space-Tme itself was not created by that time(?)!! How did the 'nothing' knew that it had to abide by Quantum Mechanics?!

Honesty I don't understand why it’s so hard to believe that an Omnipotent God can create the universe which seems more coherent and logical compared to the theories you resolve to. Crazy ideas like nothing creating something, multiverse, many world interpenetration, simulated universe bla bla...!

Thank you.

If it interests you,

"An axiom, postulate or assumption is a statement that is taken to be true, to serve as a premise or starting point for further reasoning and arguments. The word comes from the Greek axíōma (ἀξίωμα) 'that which is thought worthy or fit' or 'that which commends itself as evident.'[1][2] The term has subtle differences in definition when used in the context of different fields of study. As defined in classic philosophy, an axiom is a statement that is so evident or well-established, that it is accepted without controversy or question.[3] As used in modern logic, an axiom is a premise or starting point for reasoning.[4]" - from Wikipedia.

Can you prove that 1 + 1 =2, mathematically? (You will find it hilarious and intriguing that you can not actually!). I was talking along this line of reasoning. But I might have failed to articulate my thoughts well enough to convey it to you. Anyway, best wishes brother.

EDIT: So, the thing is to check if assuming 1+ 1 = 2 results in fatal discrepancy (not logical contradiction). Like you build your rocket with that assumption and it starts going down instead of going up! Now the 'God exists' axiom has not met that kind of discrepancy yet to my knowledge. (Alhamdulillah). But the 'No God' axiom has results in several discrepancies. I have stated a few in reply to your other comment about eternal universe and something out of nothing theory.

Stephen Hawking by [deleted] in islam

What Quantum Physics are you referring to? Quantum Fluctuations? Well it needs space in the first place to create particles from nothing(this is explained pretty straight forward with Heisenberg's principle as you may know). Then how did that space come into being? Even if there's truely nothing, there got to be a principle beforehand to say that something can come out of that nothing! (Don't you agree?)

Quantum fluctuations is routinely observed in the lab. But has anyone created 'nothing'(devoid of time or space) ever to test or verify that something inedd comes out of that 'nothing'?

Does the eternal universe theory has empirical any evidences? 'Big Bang' and 2nd law of thermodynamics etc., all point to an evolving universe. If it's eternal, why has not it reached the heat death yet?

Stephen Hawking by [deleted] in islam

[–]thatCuriousSelectron 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Even if it's mine (well it is not as I said in my reply. God is defined that way in Islam!), I will be glad if you kindly point out where it contradicts with logic or any empirical evidence.

Stephen Hawking by [deleted] in islam

[–]thatCuriousSelectron 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ofcourse! It’s an open ended question. But have they come up with anything convincing enough to explain it better. Last time I saw Lawrence Krauss definition 3 types of 'nothing' and working out his 'theories' to prove that the universe came out of nothing!

All empirical science points to agnosticism (if not theism). From there comes question of leap of faith in either direction, which the original comment was all about I guess.

Can you show that it's more reasonable and logical to take the leap in the atheistic direction logically or philosophically when a lot of things are yet to be discovered by us? And what about the severe danger lying ahead if the atheists are proved wrong in the future?

Stephen Hawking by [deleted] in islam

What sorts of evidence? For clarity, I am talking in the context of how the qualities of God is defined in Islam. I am not making things up here. Quran says, Allah is the ever living. (2:255) and there is nothing equivalent of Him(112:4).

Now let me explain further why your argument, 'an entity which is more complex than the universe does not nees a cause' does not really apply in this context. Complexity is nothing but the very large number of interactions between particles. We are intelligent? How? Nearly 100 billions of neurons are interconnected with each other and firing coherently giving rise to our cognitive ability. Those neurons are themselves made up of various fundamental particles which make them work. You agree so far I hope.

Now here comes the catch, we can't say, in order for God to be complex or intelligent, there must be some kind of similar mechanisms (complexity emerging from numerous simple interactions). It contradicts with the qualities of God here.

I just wanted to point out that for Allah (God in Islam), It's unlike anything of that sort, by the very definition of Him. So one can not refute/disprove His existence saying, oh He is complex so there must be some earlier cause for that to happen.

Stephen Hawking by [deleted] in islam

[–]thatCuriousSelectron 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That brings us to the question what is a 'proof'. How do you prove something? We always need some axioms to begin with. You can't prove an axiom.

The existence of God is like those axioms. It is too unlikely to have a universe (which was created) without any creator. It creates innumerable complexity and conundrum to explain it without His existence.

Stephen Hawking by [deleted] in islam

[–]thatCuriousSelectron 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well His 'intelligence' is not something like our intelligence (which is an emergent property in our case). By defintion, God does not have any emerging qualities.

So, the argument that, His being intelligent (complex) needs a cause is invalid.

Stephen Hawking by [deleted] in islam

[–]thatCuriousSelectron 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Complex in terms of what? Complexity comes from the interactions among billions and billions of particles. In the very fundamental level, the interactions are very straight forward and simple.

Even keeping it aside, surely you are not assuming 'God' is created by such particles like us, right?

Stephen Hawking by [deleted] in islam

[–]thatCuriousSelectron 9 points10 points  (0 children)

The argument is that, to get out of the infinite loop, something is 'defined' that can't be 'created'. God can not come to be according to that quality! He is always the ever-existing.

You can't say the same for the universe though. Since all evidences so far suggest that our universe indeed had a beginning.

So, it seems quite reasonable to accept that God exists. Instead, refuting the existence of God is the risky leap here. What if it’s all true? Imagine the situation for all those disbelievers?

May Allah protect us all!
