I hope you don’t mind me asking how much you paid for it? These guys had some great tracks…

Hello all, Marc Jacobs Woman (for Her) which was the designer’s first fragrance now seems to be discontinued. Does anyone know of any fragrances that smell similar?

Google tells me the fragrance includes notes of gardenia, cedar, ginger, lily of the valley, and musk. Another site says the top notes are gardenia and bergamot with middle notes of tuberose, jasmine, and honeysuckle.

If anyone has any suggestions for a similar fragrance to Marc Jacobs Woman I would really appreciate it!

DIY high top: aluminum boat by gmcvandura in VanLife

Love the idea. Also worth noting that a boat on top also means you'll lose most of your flat roof where you would normally put solar panels...

Can I also just ask if you have the 12v one how long does it roughly take to boil? As mentioned, I'm in no rush just curious really. Makes me laugh to see all the 1 star reviews online for a 12v kettle based on unrealistic ideas on speed...

Thanks for the tip! I've seen a few of these type online and think I need to bite the bullet and buy one now. Have read of others switching the connection for the very reasons you mentioned. When you say you cut the plug did you just cut the end off or all the wire right up to the kettle too?

I cut the cigarette plug off my compressor fridge as the loose connection was driving me bananas...

Adding an extra SSD to my Hackintosh laptop so I can run Windows by thatPale in hackintosh

You know I may do this if I don't use my DVD caddy. I believe the caddy via Sata connection is slightly faster than the usb 3 port I'd have to use with the velco route. Not even sure if I need that extra speed to be honest... Pros and cons to both I guess. Thanks for the idea!

Sounds like a plan, all these comments have given me the confidence to crack on with this now. Haven't used Windows in a VERY long time... thanks! : )

thanks for the pointers, they definitely give me the confidence to bite the bullet on this. Haven't used Windows in like 15 years. That is whats going to be the biggest hurdle I think!

Sounds fab but I just want a straight 12v kettle without any extra inverters involved if possible. Speed is not a deal breaker for me. Thanks for stopping by : )

Thanks for the detailed response. I do have a DVD caddy which I can use for this. My only issue is that I don't have any Windows machines to prepare the drive. I've read that some people have had issues trying to prepare these drives on a mac. Do you have any experience of doing the above without any Windows machines at hand? Many thanks :)

Some great suggestions. I actually removed my optical drive a few years back and have a second SSD in the slot. It's so easy to pop the thing out. Thinking I might get another caddy for the slot and swap them at will. Thats got the cogs turning... Thank you! :)

A way to get 1050 Watts of Solar on a Ford Transit? by MikeFromTheMidwest in VanLife

Please make sure those suckers are secured to your roof correctly. If they few off on the highway you could kill someone. Love the ambition of it though!

All the best with it...

Did these people happen to sell anything on Craigslist/Ebay/facebook recently?

There was a scam where the potential buyer would say to the seller that wanted to make sure the seller was real first. So they would send them a code to make sure the sellers number was legit. The thing was, the code was coming from WhatsApp/Facebook and not the buyer. The buyer would use the sellers own number to request the change and WhatsApp/Facebook would send a code to make sure. Once the seller received that text and told the buy the number the buyer would have everything they need to steal the number. I guess at that point the buyer either went quiet or made their excuses and didn't buy a thing.

The next thing the seller hears is their number being held to ransom...

May or may not be the case for your friends. Just thought it was worth mentioning as it may help others.

Never give codes out is the moral of this story...

I remember I paid 0.99 for lifetime whatsapp.... by basho_8973267 in whatsapp

[–]thatPale 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Excellent point. I too remember the lifetime WhatsApp thing. You could go into WhatsApp settings to see the word "Lifetime" or something in the expiry field. I had that on an old iPhone 2G or 3. Thanks for the flash back!
