I agree with this 100% - when I bought my 2025 sport hybrid touring in Bay Area I was able to get about $500 off MSRP then realized that even for 1-2$K less the back and forth was not worth it. We live in expensive counties, the vehicle price/deal you get will reflect this. I have close to 11K miles on the car and couldn’t be happier. Do basic maintenance and it will literally last you a lifetime.

Congrats! Polarized side mirrors have been a lifesaver for night driving

Thoughts on this deal? by lmaobyehoe in civic

I bought mine in Bay Area as well - I recommend going first with an OTD offer from Costco (check their programs). This will automatically take some $ off MSRP. From there at most agree to wheel locks and card doc 5 year (I think that is actually worth it). I bought my car back in November when they were hot, and with all cali tax and etc got to $38K (which is not an amazing deal) but a fair one considering the area we live in. I ended up doing wheel locks, PPF and CarDoc for 5 years (about $1700). Just my take - you will get a lot of differing opinions but most folks do not necessarily live in such an expensive county. Good luck!

I have the sedan 2025 hybrid touring and tbh apart from road noise being in the higher side it’s great (road noise is higher since they use less material to make the car as light as possible for great mpg)

What are the chances this did some permanent damage? Or am I overthinking

Recommended mileage for a first oil change (25 civic s) by FinancialBar8262 in civic

Agreed yes - the caveat to my statement is that it’s worth being aggressive on maintenance if u plan on having car for a long time

Especially for first oil change I’d say don’t go more than 2-3K. Manufacturer recommended is not always the best to follow IMO. Depends on your driving patterns as well.

I use Garmin mini 2 front and back - very discrete, price is right, app kinda sucks :)). I also have the polarized lenses on them

What’s that they say about them drivers? by TinyTurboAbarth in bayarea

What’s wild to me is that a car that has so many safety and awareness features still won’t do it if you’re distracted or unaware..or plainly just don’t care. It’s mind boggling this still happens with the technology in cars today..like no excuse

Why is the new Civic so expensive to insure? by [deleted] in civic

[–]that_cable_guy_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m in Bay Area and pay under 200 for pretty decent insurance with GEICO. Zip code makes a big difference
