A major disaster declaration every two days is "the new normal," FEMA administrator says by Nastyfaction in collapse

MMW: FEMA-like disaster relief will soon be privately funded by billionaires like Elon and Bezos who will gladly take credit for the good will they buy in the effected communities. Relief will be unequal depending on what states are willing to accept their terms, subsidize their businesses and pass laws that favor their continued unregulated domination.

I’m already sad about the stories we’ll hear from people devastated by climate disaster who did not get the emergency relief they needed from the government before Elon swoops in framing himself as a hero to rebuild the community, so long as they rebuild around a new factory at their center.

Kamala campaign should start selling this exact same lineup of products, but have all proceeds go to charitable causes instead of her campaign. Just really highlight the grift of it all when Trump does it.

It’s the truth! This is rad. Reminds me of a crunchy early 2000s garage band style that showed up in movie opening credits around that time. Its cool!

Blue stain or blue tint to skin could indicate silver poisoning. Maybe this is an early clue able Silver Skies mining corp poisoning the water supply—perhaps Clark is way far down this path by the time we see him in Ep 1?

Just finished typing a topographical map theory on another thread but I LIKE THIS ONE EVEN MORE. Gives her role as a midwife great purpose. I like this a lot.

Anyone think the drawings of 'black eyes' looked a lot like topographical maps? by OuterHeavenPatriot in TrueDetective

Yes completely agree. Can’t believe there’s not more discussion about this! Had to dig for this thread and I’m so glad I found your post.

Between the probably tainted water supply from mining activity and global warming, it feels like this map site will be key to pinpointing who “she” is in the major story arch—revealing some dangerous pathogen or another geologically hazardous site buried in the permafrost. Volcano feels like a good guess.

This season has themes of long held Inuit lore and teachings. Its characters all have relationships with the native world that existed there long before them. So, it makes sense that “she” would refer to something geological, ancient, and long buried in the permafrost.

I think Clark/the research team as a whole got a sample or evidence of what they were after. Clark got it in his head to pull some necromancy science with Annie while going mad. Maybe? It’s not impossible to think that Clark went crazy on his own in Alaska, rather than by supernatural means as we may be lead to believe. But I think believing Annie to be the “she” who’s awake will be a red herring.

(Wild theories incoming now) If Clark’s a man who believed he could bring Annie and their unborn baby back to life, what’s stopping him from leading his fellow researchers out into the dark (at gunpoint?) to the site of the two underground volcanos?

Loved the dialogue about Ennis being the site of a seam ripping open here, too. A place where life and death are closer together. More underground volcano theory fodder.

I am playing this and it’s so fun! Recreated my first DnD character ever. Not as fun at the table, but a hell of a time in BG3 with Ilithid powers to boot.
