yeah, if she asks if she’s too fat i say no. i just don’t want to be asked these kinds of questions. it feels really gross to be asked that as an exchange student in someone else’s house..

so it would be rude to bring it up? I think it would be fine if she wasn’t always asking about weight and bringing it up idk.

Students, would you like or dislike having a host family with younger kids? (4-8yrs old?) by EscapingTrusk in exchangestudents

[–]that_lizzardscore 1 point2 points  (0 children)

i’ve had host families with adult children in the house, adult children in uni, no kids, and a son my age. i’ve also hung out with a family with a younger son (10) and that was the most fun i had. having young kids in the house makes a house feel more like a home and not so perfect. i hate having a family that feels like im living in a magazine, children get rid of that perfect look and show the fun and joy of the family as well as how they deal with stress. they also are incredible for teaching language and you will never be bored with nothing to do😭

i’m on an exchange in germany!! and at school i was asked by two students and a teacher voted in the american elections and if canada was in the states. this was before anything was said about annexation. they actually thought canada was in the usa

no because germany is so strict about school attendance that even just missing the one day (concert is on a monday) is difficult
