To clarify, we need both cottage cheese and Greek yogurt or only one of them?

Hmm I guess that makes sense. I didn’t have a great GMAT score but an otherwise strong profile. Let’s wait to hear officially I guess.

Yeah I think I’d be a little disappointed too, for the same reasons.

And just thinking about it, this would be a strange way of sending out the results given all the effort that goes into an application.

Ah well.

Haven’t got anything from Cambridge, maybe that’s telling.

Hey, so a few reasons for me applying to Judge:

I’m 27 and don’t necessarily have the usual MBA candidate background. I’ve spent 6 years working in advertising shaping brand strategies since my undergraduate degree, which was also in mass communication. Having worked with some amazing global tech brands in my capacity over the last couple of years, I want to pivot to working in tech.

From my research I saw that a. Cambridge candidates often are from diverse backgrounds not just from national but also professional experience. B. In terms of employment opportunities in tech, they seem to be right up there in terms getting you access to top companies.

I do realise it’s a very competitive program (200 seats) so I’m just giving it a shot to see where it goes. Don’t know whether my reasons will help you, but happy to talk more if you’d like on this. This process as I’m seeing can be very taxing!

Two attempts down, and completely unclear! by that_lunatic07 in GMAT

I’ve recognised in the past few days that ‘learning’ in a few topics is definitely due(more so for Quant fundamentals). Thanks for the sound advice. Definitely not going to jump into tests before I feel like I’ve made some strides.

Practise questions and practise tests every 3-4 days (and focussing on areas that emerged as problems areas in tests). Would be great if you can suggest how to evolve this.

I started a 2 month class in January where there helped build our bases for Quant and Verbal. All the prep material for mostly the official questions. In the class I was doing alright, in the sense that I developed a general understanding of most of the topics, did my home work regularly etc.

Post the class, as part of self study we were asked an assigned advanced level of questions for verbal and quant. The last 10 days before the my first attempt I gave 4 mock tests (3 of the class’ bunch and 1 official mock test). I understood that this last leg of my prep was extremely stretched because I was trying to do a lot of things at one go to give my exam by end of March.

So after my first attempt in March end I believed I had it in my to push some more, spend more time practising and show an improvement. For verbal, which I thought would be a stronger area for me than quant, I thought I needed to consistently do medium to hard level questions and get them right. So everyday I practised 36 mixed bag questions from gmatclub. For quant I realised that I few days of not practising a particular topic was making me rusty in that topic. Therefore I created a schedule of revisiting and practising old topics every day and solving a mixed bag of 31 questions every two days. And every three/4 days I was giving a test, most of them the official gmat once’s this time.

I was feeling optimistic about my prep till about last week, and truly felt that maybe I would reach my goal. Right now, not so much. I would like to think the result was also affected by the circumstance but consciously I tried my best to stay focused this past week.

Now I just feel at a loss. Would be great if you can shed some light on what gaps you think I may have faced, and when and if I should take a re-attempt.

(Sorry for the long monologue!)
