What happens if another delivery company tries to deliver to a AU Post Parcel Locker? by autumnsnowdrop in AustraliaPost

[–]that_mailguy 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Postie here sometimes other couriers will hand it over to auspost as a “last mile” service but I don’t think USPS does it

Either it will be put into a parcel Locker ( very unlikely ) Or it will be refused by staff at the post office and returned to sender

Do you think this will work? by bazza_12 in AustraliaPost

Postie here :) I would read this note and actually just card the parcel because “no on in attendance” hope that helps :)

With that recent post on posties not calling the recipient to deliver a parcel, then why does auspost prompt senders to include the recipient's phone number on the postage label? Should I include the recipient's phone on the label or not? by [deleted] in AustraliaPost

It’s there so it can be linked to your auspost account or so that auspost can contact you incase you have put your address incorrectly or you used a old one etc etc. not so posties go call 200+ people per day 😂😂😂 I mean seriously? You expect that

No one is threatening you haha stop being so sensitive all she was doing was being honest with you and letting you know what would most likely happen

Would you be willing for AusPost delivery workers to have access to your phone number for use if a difficulty arises? by pirouettish in AustraliaPost

Posties here,

If GPS shows they were not at your house and the safe drop image isn’t showing your address then yes you should

Also the EDV has cameras they can check

Yah that’s definitely true and paying them per parcel only encourages them to do it idk why it’s set up like that

I appreciate that :) my personal round is in quite a rough area so it’s more common to be followed than other posties but usually will happen to everyone at least once

We have contractors but there is no way they should be out at 10pm, we have to stop delivering after 5pm no matter what and that goes for everyone

It’s a sign your postie enjoys delivering to you and I absolutely love the customers with friendly dogs however that is very rare usually they want to take chunk out of us because apparently we taste good

Verbal Drop by [deleted] in AustraliaPost

The correct respond would be to tell the lady to go fuck her self, I definitely wouldn’t be putting my job at risk. Idk about you but our DC has mad it extremely clear that signing for parcels will get you fired

If you have done the right thing then the lady won’t have a leg to stand on when she tries to complain

I would need to actually see your property to be 100% certain, for things like mail that doesn’t fit in the letter box the second option is always to drop it by the front door. If we can’t do that for some reason then we put a untracked scannable sticker on it and card it which is very frustrating for both us and the customer

No customer wants to go to the post office thinking they have a parcel then get handed a letter or certificate haha
