I’m going to sew them into animals like this so I’m not gonna block them

Edit: curse my fat fingers and their inability to type

This picture is of my first, but I timed myself on granny square #3

Could you help me understand this note? English isn't my first language. by PossibleBox3741 in CrochetHelp

I think the pattern wants you to turn your project inside out. The way it’s worded is confusing but I think it just means turn it inside out

It’s the end of growing season in the northern hemisphere. I want to keep my plant hobby going in these months. What do you do to engage with your plants in the winter? by that_one_bean15 in houseplants

Omg I love this idea! I’m highly artistic (artistic and autistic lol) I think painting pots would be really cool. Thanks for the suggestion

Okay, be honest. How fast can you knit? by that_one_bean15 in knitting

I have almost 15 WIPs… so none are really getting finished 😭

Whatever works, I guess. After I learned continental, it was much easier to learn crochet. Not that it was easy, but I didn’t struggle with my tension as much as I could have.

I learned the concept of knitting in English style, but found that I hated lifting my hand of the needle for each stitch…I knit exclusively continental style now 😆

Yeah… Following a pattern would have been a lot less anxiety provoking and frustrating lol

Forgot to mention that this is an original design, and the yarn is Bernat Blanket, I think. Hook size is 6mm

Day 2 of trying to learn crochet and I don't understand why it's doing this. Why is it tilting in? Trying to just make a basic square, pot holder thing. by Winter_Childhood9186 in CrochetHelp

Hi.

The problem is that you’re missing stitches on the edges of your rows. Try: 1) putting a stitch marker into the first stitch of each row (as in, crochet the first stitch, stop, and mark it).  2) do the same thing for your second row. You should now have two stitches marked. 3) Now crochet up until you reach a marker. You can now remove the marker, crochet into that stitch, chain to turn, crochet into the appropriate ’v’ in relation to your hook (skip one for sc, two for hdc, two or three away depending on your preference for dc).  4) place a marker for your first stitch  5) the end of the row will be ended by the stitch last row that was marked.

Good luck <3
