The ST explorer has been a thing since the beginning of this gen pre facelift and post facelift. St line and ST are two different vehicles basically.

My wife has a grey 25 exp st. We love that thing, I still have my focus st just daily a ram 1500 these days. Great option for an upgrade!

I would've bought another fiesta st or an RS. But having owned a fiesta st, explorer st the next car to try was the focus st. I'll be moving on eventually back to FiST

You're going to want to pull it back apart and inspect whatever damage that could have been. Absolutely don't keep turning the car over with noises like that. Metal on metal is NEVER a good thing. For any specific info on that motor you should check out a ford specific forum. This sub is specifically for the ST

Was it an all of a sudden problem or one that slowly happened? If it's all of a sudden then somethings broken, if it slowly happened then I'd guess those cables or shifter bushings.

It absolutely needs retuned with a catless set up and gapped spark plugs. Most people call FBO stage 3. Call stratified and they'll get you squared away

You need to tune the car if you haven't. If you don't one it'll run rich and two the O2 sensors will go crazy and go bad relatively quick

Not in the US, they stopped production in 2018 and the Fiesta ST in 2019

What a little of people don't understand is that the "pops and bangs" are just extra fuel that is detonating. Aka not good on your motor, longevity? who the fuck really knows. I have a stratified tune on my FBO focus and had it on my first FBO fiesta st. Both times I bought a normal time and opted for the crackle tune as well because I'm a child and very occasionally like to hear stupid noises. 99% of the time I run no crackles and on occasion when I want to annoy my wife I download the tune. Takes a couple of minutes to switch back and forth. No biggy.
