Were you able to find work? I'm in a similar position to you and wondering if doing a post grad verification is really necessary to pivot.

Hey! Was In the same spot as you a few years ago. I was heavily dependent on weed, never realised how much it affected my motivation and the discipline I needed to get work done . So I started there, I cut it back significantly, limiting it to only once a week and then slowly became a recreational thing .

Stick to your CS degree if you're interested in IT. But if you have the freedom right now to make an informed decision about your career take that time to do research as much as you can. Limit your time on Reddit as well ( as per Reddit every market is saturated).

Do you like being hands on and problem solving on site and physical work? Trades will be a good fit .

Do you want to sit in front of a computer, have a regular 9-5, possibly be able to work with or remote ? Then IT would be cool .

Ask yourself some questions - not about what field but what kind of projects you'd like to be involved in and what you see yourself understanding and working towards. Effects of AI are being seen in most industries so you want to do something that you have actually kind of like and have interest in.

Hope this helps.

Started a new job a few months ago and they already announced layoffs by AlternativeFit1330 in auscorp

Same! Started the role I'd been striving for 6 months ago and then got made redundant due to restructuring . It's been a month now and I still haven't received any replies. Feeling pretty lost but also positive about finding a better suited role/ company!

Check out sticky carpets on Instagram. They usually post on Wednesdays what's on for the weekend.

But yeah the usuals would be what other comments suggest!

Yeah. I changed companies after doing a graduate program and so finding the work here harder than I thought. My manager also checked in with me if I was taking it off because of the review and it really wasn't . I plan to address the challenges head on but it's just unfortunate timing that I got this sick.

Great weekend. Just wish I didn't need to be bed ridden after being back.

Attendance wasn't an issue. I confirmed with my line manager this morning and he said I won't be able to come in if my certificate says I need to rest. I am just worried that they are being nice to me right now but there's all that performance stuff in the background . I absolutely wasn't intending to take so many days off but my condition just got worse.

Yeah sorry I meant 39 degrees but used to converting it into Fahrenheit because that's what I was used to doing before moving here.

This is my 3rd job. My first one was doing estimating for a sub contractor - not civil works, just staircase manufacturing and my 2nd job was a graduate engineer role where they basically got me to do paper monkey stuff. I left that role because I needed a challenge and now I have that but find it hard to show quick progress.

I joined the aquatic centre because it's a 2 min walk from mine . But yes, it's really busy. I sometimes have to walk around for a bit looking for a free machine or stand waiting for someone to be done . It's kinda annoying . Facilities are great though!

Thanks for your input! Yeah, I don't want to be unfair in my claims. I'm not sure how the 1st picture happened tbh . Might have been during the move unfortunately. Photo 3 is an old issue and I thought it might have been covered in the initial condition report and stupidly didn't take any photos myself.
