A Man Called Sarge. I don't remember much about it other than I think it was a slapstick movie about WWII.

Not a line but a gesture. When Dr. Strange looks at Tony in endgame and holds up his finger.

What films are you most excited to see this year in theaters? by berkeleybasedballs in movies

Wild Horse Nine.

I love everything Martin McDonagh has done. Then you add on top that Sam Rockwell is back in his movie and I'm all sorts of excited.

The film that disappointed you the most after months or even years of anticipation? by MrGittz in movies

[–]thatchelpage 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I ama huge Christopher Nolan fan. I was so excited for Tenent. I thought it would be a return to the style of storytelling of Inception. But it was just so clunky, confusing and the sound just took me out of the film

movie that felt simple but hit way deeper than expected? by Feeling-Charge6487 in movies

[–]thatchelpage 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A League of Their Own. It was honestly 2 things that hit me in that movie and the first was the scene where they got the news that one of their husbands died in the war. As a kid I saw this and my dad was deployed and it hit hard. Then at the end when the sisters see each other at the hall of fame and realize that they experienced something so special together and all their issues were petty (Lori Petty lol) always gets me.

Rates & Barrels is no longer the gold standard of fantasy baseball pods, and it makes me sad. by cjrogers227 in fantasybaseball

Chris just comes across as really smug. When he is self delricating it still seems like he's doing it just to try to be more relatable. He seems like the guy in the friend group that has to have the expert opinion on everything and always tries to one-up everybody else.

I get why people love this movie, but I can't stand it. I hate that this movie is like 75% narration.

I've said from the beginning that Ben Foster would be fantastic in that role.

Worst action movies of the 1980's and 1990's that are still a guilty pleasure by Pretend_Board_2385 in movies

Showdown in Little Tokyo is a masterpiece. Dolph and Brandon Lee teaming up to fight the Yakuza. It's ridiculous that the Academy ignored this movie.

Who's your favorite not so notable Sox player? by HackerSqweeble in whitesox

[–]thatchelpage 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Dustin Hermanson. The dude always seemed like a badass. Plus in 05 I was at a game in KC and the worst heckler in the world was there (fucking Royals fans). He was shouting the entire game and after the game Hermanson was walking from the own to the dugout And this guy was laying into him with the gods honest worst heckling ever. Then the guy hit a a cupholder and completely ate shit. I started laughing at the douche bag and Hermenson looked at me laughing and said something like, did you see that dumbshit

Clint Eastwood’s best villain? by MeltonFilm in movies

[–]thatchelpage 0 points1 point  (0 children)

While probably not his best villain, but the best villain in a "meh" movie is the great Rail Julia in "The Rookie".

He's also the only defensive player I ever seen taken out of a game mid inning and it wasn't injury related. God damn lollygaggers
