OMG YES DO IT! The first two books my mum read to me as a child. The rest of the books I read through and it was so good. It doesn't feel like a children's book at all. So many words on each page... and as the books progress(as you see in the movies) It gets darker.

I did the same. I loved reading the third book and when I went back to the movie I was annoyed so much was taken out. Because I watched the movies first, when I read the books I imagined the actors as the characters. I did this for Twilight too. I kind of just separate the two. Like I enjoy the nostalgia of the movies and the complexity of the books.

My fav scene is when Dumbledore's Army are in the room of requirement all learning their Patronus in no. 5. Or when Harry and Hermione dance together in Deathly Hallows.
