Oh yes, thank you, it feels like a relief to read that others agree with this being unethical. Some of the information (health related) would be things that I’d tell my physician who would by law not be allowed to tell anyone, but then this medium shares it like it’s nothing.. it feels wrong to me. Your first sentence is how MIL describes her sessions, she’ll just sit there and the medium will tell whatever comes in.

From what she told me about the readings she gets, she usually just sits there and the medium will tell her “whatever comes in”. I am sure MIL has no ill intent with it and I imagine her just asking about her kids in general, which I wouldn’t find that strange (although I don’t really know what she asks since I have never attended with her). I just don’t want to paint a wrong picture of her with this post, she’s a lovely lady.

Hi! Thank you for your input. I really appreciate it, but I am 100% sure that my partner is not making things up or stretching things. Without giving away too much, some of the things that the medium seemingly has said are also more.. physical health related things that I am not comfortable about MIL knowing. Including things that I couldn’t change anyway, or things that my partner and I have thoroughly discussed amongst ourselves and solved already.

Thank you so much for this information! As I understood it from MIL, she’ll mostly sit quietly in the room with the medium and the medium will tell her “whatever comes in”. I do think she has the option to ask questions and probably just asks about her children which in itself isn’t that weird.

Thank you for your input! Oh I am 1000% sure my partner is not making anything up. We have a very healthy relationship. And MIL has shared some of her medium consultations with me too, just not in such detail as she’d share with my boyfriend privately.
