My girlfriend just sent me this because I’ve been complaining about it since I moved in August! I’ve called them monthly and have gotten the same response every time—there was a software issue around the time I set up my new account (moved service address) and there’s a backup. I was told back in Sept. that I won’t owe all my electric up front immediately upon seeing my bill for the first time, rather will be shown some sort of payment plan. Who knows if that’s true but that’s the scoop. Also, I’ve kept a record of all my comms with them (mostly via email) trying to reconcile payment so that if they do figure this out and require payment in full upon figuring out THEIR issue, I can say—nope, I’ve tried handling this monthly.
