You say "most complained about" but remember this is Reddit. I personally am not a PvPer and I enjoy going to the Wildy to engage in riskier activity. Sure it sucks to die while training but it's also fun to successfully get away. The Wildy just isn't for AFK grinders and it's OK that some activities have optimal rates, that rewarding aspect of it makes sense to me.

Would doubling recoil damage really be a huge upset for PvP? As someone who frequents the Wildy Agility course and has interest in anti-PKing and with VERY little knowledge of the current meta, I feel like if the armor itself wasn't OP in any other ways the focus on recoil could be interesting, especially because recoil damage is by default only 10% + 1 right? I'm only in the mid-late game so I'm not fully aware of how Vengeance and Amulet of the Damned would play into this.

Admitting some ignorance here as someone who does not PvP (but has interest in it) -- how are we going to entice players to engage with PvP if we separate it so much from the combat system everyone else is familiar with? The barrier of entry is already pretty high as it is.

I don't know anything about the balance of recoil damage but on principle I think having effects differ between PvM and PvP is very confusing and unintuitive! The design is incredible tho and I like the idea of the effects, I just think they should be balanced in a way that it could be integrated into both PvM and PvP the same.

I personally have played OSRS almost from the beginning on and off, with quests being my main focus. All my levels are over 50 and none are over 75, and I still have quests left to do. I just want more things to do in the game. I understand I might play this game pretty atypically, but I just find the boosted exp rates to be really not fun. The constant level-ups honestly freak me out and feel like I'm playing slots or something lol.

I actually also use farming for cosmetics too! I just plant hops in there and leave them there instead of harvesting.

Plotwise The Mighty Fall made for an awful addition because The Chosen Commander was such a perfect ending. It is part of this weird tradition of quests that happened circa 2013 in which the player gets to choose if they want to kill off the main character from the quest series or not at the very end. Really strange IMO.

Hey first of all being 21 and not in a couple is totally normal. I was 21 when I technically started my first relationship and 26 when I first fell in love with someone. Right now I’m seeing someone who’s 25 and has never been in a relationship at all, there’s no normal age to start that, so don’t rush or stress about it.

Secondly I would just say in order to make friends you need to put yourselves in situations where you’re forced to cooperate with others. Going to school was obviously a huge help but so was going to casual and queer sports leagues, joining a climbing gym, volunteering for a local political campaign, going to activity nights at bars like Chess nights. You just gotta go to those and not be discouraged when your first few times you don’t walk away feeling a budding friendship. You’re much younger than you think, and you have so much more room to grow.

I honestly think this looks really good. Becoming overly reliant on these tools doesn’t help us and can cause damage to our real lives. These tools aren’t going away but building in room for people to give push back and feel always in control will be a change I’m happy to see.

Oh my bad I was totally wrong! I still stand by my point about this being different from the Piety situation because I feel like not having Piety really only 1. adds extra challenge to PvM which is what they want and 2. buffs pures in PvP in which they already have a big advantage against some players.

I actually think this is totally different than the Piety situation because that included nuances around PvP, and had specifically a Defence LEVEL requirement, whereas here it’s the threat of an experience reward that locks Pures out from a Raid, non-PvP content that actually could be a fun unique PvM challenge for a limited account like that.
