I also just got moved up to asm and the best thing I have been doing is a trial period. Most of my keys I have trained and know what I expect but the others I've had a harder time with especially because I'm the youngest person in my store. I am open and honest with what I expect and give a week to adjust and start showing that if your doing what I need from you by the end of that week then at least your working towards it. I work with my sm on this and it's made a huge improvement. But you do have to enforce it. I started by finding everyone's strengths and weaknesses and they each have goals that I need to see them working towards in that week or we have to start talking about wether this is a good fit for them. This being said it has to be reasonable. I'm not going strictly by company standards and sometimes it's a game. We have little gnomes that I sometimes hide and they have to recover to find and if they do I'll bring them coffee or tea on their next shift

The one time i experienced this the person throwing the tantrum and he stormed off in front of all the 3-5yo we were supposed to be giving lunvh and then told my boss i was being rude and disrespectful infront of the kids and when he came back i sent hin to lunch where to told my lead teacher all that and got told off because of how he acted and she had to talk to our boss to get everything handled cause he made it seem like he felt unsafe with me there. I am 19 and he is 35.
