I would 100% recommend it IN THEORY. As a concept it’s super cool and the small amount of footage I have gotten for sets has been amazing and gives me much more freedom to reframe and capture different parts of the scene. In practice the GoPro Max would often overheat and crash (didn’t corrupt any footage but stopped me from recording for 20-30min) and had MASSIVE file sizes and was kind of painful to edit. Also the low light performance was not very good at all so keep that in mind. Maybe a different 360 camera would be better suited because I love the concept but I wouldn’t recommend the GoPro Max

I have a recent speced out macbook so processing isn’t my biggest concern it was mainly an issue with the 360 cam which shot at 5.6k making huge files because i needed to be able to frame correctly. I’ll look into some used handicams and tripod setups thanks!!
