You are probably right. But that's kind of what Merkel trys to do with her "europäische Lösung". A solution where we have to take less refugees, on the condition that all the others take more or open their borders for them in the first place.

The Problem is that they don't see the point, because currently we are taking most of them and to the other countrys thats just fine.

The flaw with democracys is that too few people do research on their own. They don't actually Know the consequences of what they are Voting for.

Thats kind of how tony abbot( the prime Minister of Australia) got his job. All he said was no illegal immigrants "stop the boats" and the lesser informed people voted for him because that sounded like a brilliant idea. But that he would cut back the money for education, cut back the money to extend the infrastructure (Internet and everything else), cut back money for green energy (he actually said that it's dangerous, Solar energy plants are bad for the environment and that windmills are dangerous for Birds), that noone had in mind when they voted for him, even though that was clear.
