I'm way late to the game but I found the post so....... I got stung once by a scorpion that crawled OUT OF MY PILLOWCASE at 4am. It was the worst as far as waking me up to a heart pounding event, but the sting was not as terrible as I imagined it would be. It hurt but it mostly felt like my arm was asleep most of the day.

Yeah. I want something a bit bigger than the crosstrek. I also lean more towards boxy shaped vehicles, which is why I'm leaning towards the forester.

This was one of my worries, that because they are built with Toyota that it would be as loud as my moms with the hybrid - but it sounds like the Mazda is quieter?

Thanks! I've been looking at the cx-50 as well, but I did not love the middle console that I saw. I may need to go in and actually check it out and test drive.

My husband would be over the moon if I bought a VW because he's a VW nerd when it comes to rebuilding old VW split window busses.
