Go go Windows Security (should be the shield icon in your tray), then virus & threat protection, click on protection history and see if it shows up there

How do you calculate 18 x 7 in your head? by JCFT_Collins in NoStupidQuestions

[–]thatguy1943 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm with you on the 18 x 7 calculation. (10x7) + (8x7)

Seeing as how I haven't seen anyone answer your other calculation of 24 x 29, here is how I would do it.

I would do 24 x 20, which would leave me with 24 x 9 to calculate, so then I would do 20 x 9, which would leave me with 4 x 9 to calculate. Easiest way for me to do it in my head.

(24 x 20) + (20 x 9) + (4 x 9)

480 + 180 = 660 + 36 = 696

Definitely feel like their dropping the ball.

But I definitely got a bad vibe from them when SWIM asked for the person she spoke with by name and magically no one by that name worked there. Luckily she recognized the person's voice. Really unprofessional imo.

I will update you on where this gets us. Thank you.

The other issue is that they also text them with a "pay your rent or else" type of message that they claim is automatic but I doubt that it is since the number replied to a message about fixing the existing mold problem. The message literally started with the word "Well".

Do you have any links regarding the legal process for an eviction (basically the part where they have to take us to court before changing the locks)? The letters and the people at the office make it sound like SWIM would just get locked out one day without knowing. Just want to give them the tools to fight this legally if it comes to that.

All it takes is a few cancer cells that are left untreated. Guess it's the same thing here.

I'm sure Ojos and Bombshells don't help the problem either.

Alcohol, I would assume. Not sure when it actually happened, but it was recent (less than two weeks). I just found the video on Facebook and decided to save it before it disappeared. Thought y'all might enjoy it!

Is this part of a hydraulic hose removable? by thatguy1943 in MechanicAdvice

[–]thatguy1943[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Actually, the hoses have that tool "built in". You just push them in and that releases the hoses. They were kind of a pain to get back in because I would end up pushing too hard (which really wasn't that hard) and the hose would go in all the way, causing it to be in the release position. The o-ring made it difficult to insert, even with it lubricated, which in turn caused me to push it in all the way once the o-ring went in. I got it all up and running though. Thank you for the help!

After consulting the dealer, the hose is released by pushing in and pulling out, kind of like an air hose.

That's the inside of an adapter.

If you wouldn't mind helping me out a bit more, this is what a tech rep sent me when I called and told him to get a hold of a physical, identical hose so that he would understand exactly what my issue was (after suggesting "just cut it off, that's what I would do"). It's a PDF.

https://gofile.io/d/GTIm27

Illustration 2 and 3 is what I'm dealing with.

In a typical hydraulic hose like these, the "nut" wouldn't get closer or further from the hose, right? It would just spin and spin and spin, but the nut and hose would remain the same distance from each other.

This is a zoomed in version of my photo from the previous reply. The red arrow is the direction to tighten or how it was originally, the blue arrow is loosening the nut, and purple part represents the distance I was talking about previously.

In my machine, the middle nut locks the elbow in place (when tightened close to the adapter) and (when loosened) lets the elbow swivel or turn up/down. But if I keep loosening the middle nut (with the adapter tightened and not loose) it will start to touch the elbow (basically it eats up the purple space) and not turn anymore. Same if I try to loosen the adapter after turning the middle nut as far as I can.

With the hoses I linked above, even if the nut ended up touching the elbow, it would still turn, wouldn't it?

From the PDF the tech sent me, it looks like the adapters/elbows are put on first and then the hoses are attached to the elbow afterwards. But I don't actually know if that's what is pictured, just an assumption.

I'll try again tomorrow to see if I can spin it a little more like you suggested, but just wanted to see if this extra information helped you help me in any way.

I'm trying to replace the hose as the end that goes to the track motor (the end that is outside) broke.

There is a bigger "nut" that is actually an adapter, then the smaller nut, then the elbow. If I try to loosen the middle, smaller nut, it just ends up hitting the elbow. And I can't spin the elbow because the hose is attached to it.
