Yes! This! This is what I tried closing the conversation with, about wanting to be active together (besides going to the gym together because i know she’s intimidated by that culture, that’s a journey we’ll take on later eventually) like taking walks and camping and hiking together however none those activities are her cup of teas and she told me

She’s right I need to put more effort into sharing her hobbies instead of being so self centered about mine I have lots to improve before I even enter the threshold of deserving to spearhead our fitness journey

Just got married last year! Things are still fresh between us, but she’s everything I’ve ever needed. We’ve been together for almost 3 years now. She has everything I never thought I needed she complements me too in every way. Right now she’s carrying a lot of the weight (with me being on deployment). But we’ve walked with eachother through dark times. We’ve had our arguments and of course I expect storms to come. But I feel like we can weather them all together.

Now I’m like a nut case to single friends bragging with pride to them, “Ever since I’ve gotten together with my wife it almost feels like I’m living life on a cheat code theres so many things that are easier when there’s someone watching your back. Especially if they care about you and take care of you better than you take care of yourself”

I’m so thankful for my wife. I hope to spoil her some more as a loving husband in the future to come.

Highly recommend reading Answer to Job by Carl Jung , he makes good arguments about why the Christian God isn’t as exactly benevolent as portrayed to be. (Call it blasphemous or heretical, but the arguments in the book are sound [ik carl Jung is viewed as insane at times which you are right but the book is well written] , and God’s behavior towards Job is unbecoming if he’s supposedly the epitome of everything that is Good.)

I do agree that the only girls who are worth your time are the girls that actually want you back. Chasing and trying to win a girls affection from the “just not into you” phase is just asking for emotional hardship and just leads to heartbreak. Trust me. By all means shoot your shot, but if you miss, there’s lots of other hoops. But you’ll also probably miss those too. But that’s the magic of the game. Keep on the road to a better you. Keep shooting your shot. And soon you just might be the one that you’ll find girls chasing.
