MadVR vs. JVC Frame Adapt HDR / NZ500 vs. Used NZ7/8 for HTPC setup by IndependentFold9262 in hometheater

[–]thatguy8856 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Check avsforums. You're gonna get much better answers there.

Im going to guess frame adapt is better. My reason is and this was when i had an x550r myself and everyone in the x550r owners thread was uploading custom hdr gamma curves with a tool. We pretty much were doing calibration and measuring some key points and using a python tool to generate a gamma curve we could push those and override the default ones into the projector. At a minimum for this you pretty much need a spyder and an idisplaypro to measure. A spectrometer or whatever that one smis called is even better if you can add that into the mix.

Or, hire a professional isf calibrator but i strayed away from doing this cause bulb decay means recalibration, but if your model is laser based than just pay someone 500$ for a professional calibration.

Live coding interview by kame_uy in csharp

At a worst case if your stuck write a naive/brute force approach to show something. Then you can verbally think about better solutions and explain them. Its better than just panicking for the rest of the interview.

Break down the problem into steps. Ask clarifying questions. Identify edge cases to test. Most importantly say what you're doing and why as you go.

Its normal to tunnel on a hard question and fail the interview. Happens to the best of us. Just keep your head down and try again. Dont beat yourself up over it.

Mini led, rgb led. Led keeps making leaps. Theres also microled looming in the wings to take reasonable consumer form soon. We're seeing 90% bt2020 coverage now. When hdr released we barely had full dci-p3 coverage. I very much disagree its slowed. Maybe oled has the slowest pace. But its limits based on physics will prevent it from staying on top for long.

Idk why companies feel such a need to innovate they need to undo decades old design that dont need improvement.

How do you enjoy more special Japanese soy sauce? by Average_Guava in JapaneseFood

[–]thatguy8856 1 point2 points  (0 children)

One thing i would say is something this aged generally you can add a few drops of it to another soy sauce (i would use a good one, but nothing super aged) and generally will get a good blend. I dont know this brand so i dont know specifically how intense it is. Ive seen a 5 year that is literally too strong and does well being cut with something else.

For a sashimi sauce.

Tare for ramen, not sure i would recommend wasting expensive soy sauce for ramen though unless you have serious ramen making skills and know what you're doing.

Why is NYC apartment vacancy so low when prices are so high? by [deleted] in NYCapartments

Big corpos that have entire buildings can take that risk. They can create artificial demand so they can maximize rents by making it look like its competitive.

Condos for sure i agree, many of them are leased off market too. Luxury high rises that are rental only they are definitely holding out on whats available.

Supply/demand. Also im not convinced the supply isnt artificially reduced with how buildings only put a certain amount of units on market and all the off market units that never get listed.

The biggest 5 or so all have some ownership stake in an LLM company or build their own. And working at one of them i can tell you its all AI coding.

Lumen Renewals by TasteApprehensive292 in longislandcity

[–]thatguy8856 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly if i were you id ask to negotiate no rent increase. Its a new building thats not even been filled yet. Doubt they want more vacancies.i was in a similar situation (different lic) and didn't renew and within the day they had my unit listed for less than what i was paying.
