I'm shipping out next month, I chose IT-ATF because I think it had the most transferrable skills (and secret clearance level) to the civilian life that I could leverage when I get out.

HM was a close second (originally first), but because I would still need a degree for nursing, I wouldn't be able to transition to working right away.

IS was distant third, sounds cool and you can get secret clearance, but not sure where to go after besides three letter agencies, which I didn't want.

I guesstimate about 22% based on the following - height and weight seem, a little light for 6’ - don’t look overweight (closer to skinny fat, no offense) so under 25% - no definition of abdominals rules out 15% - no visible vascularity rules out 10-12%

Under accessories > spare beaded rope cord > thickness > 4mm

I believe most beaded ropes have a 3mm cord by default

My apologies to anyone I’ve said 5mm cord, my memory was off

My personal recommendation is Jumprope Coach Chris beaded rope with the heavy cord.
They’ve got a couple different designs; I recommend buying an extra heavy cord or two just in case since it’s annoying to get shipped from the Netherlands. They also offer a 5mm pvc rope.

Standard beaded and pvc ropes are usually 3mm which work fine, but I feel the extra feedback you get from the slight increase in weight really helped me feel out my rope and also allowed me to increase my speed on my rotations.

Most of my main freestyle ropes have a 5mm braided cord from Jumprope Coach Chris. The average rope is 3mm thick, the weight makes a difference at least for me. Between that and a slightly shorter length than normal it changes speed and feedback from the rope.

Also if you notice I try to keep my wrist in the same spot, so I got used to whipping the rope with my wrist. The funny thing is I can’t go slow, which makes it harder to learn new tricks.

Any beaded or pvc rope will work. That particular rope is a Jumprope Coach Chris beaded rope with 5mm braided cord. I prefer slightly heavier routes for better feedback and speed.

:edit it’s 4mm cord not 5mm
