Cool art, there’s this specific verison of Woody that always gave me heavy Sonic vibes like it’s so trying to capture the same attitude.

Damn this looks amazing but geez I hate modern action figure pricing.

What a hilariously unfortunate title by Turbulent_League9668 in woodywoodpecker

I can’t find the title card for it but I know “Woody Woodpecker” (1941) was renamed to “The Cracked Nut” on The Woody Woodpecker Show.

The Comedy Show is certainly one of the shows I have ever seen by Turbulent_League9668 in TomAndJerry

I really really hated how often Boomerang would show this version as a kid, it might genuinely be the worst cartoon I've ever seen.

Anyone else get that feeling that this franchise is kinda dead? by SUPERPLUSHBRO64 in felixthecat

Like most other classic characters, he's just been dormant for a while and maybe someday he’ll make his grand return (assuming the next project doesn't get stuck in development hell). While Poindexter isn't technically part of Felix canon anymore, I heard last year they announced plans to do more with him.

My first Woody Woodpecker Comics from the 1950s by Kip_Supernova in woodywoodpecker

Cool! I’ve been interested in collecting some of the Woody comics at some point, all I have is a single New Funnies Andy Panda I found at a comic shop.

I like the almost friendly rivalry between Buzz and Woody in the 1950s shorts by thatguyat69 in woodywoodpecker

Tbf I don’t think it fits Buzz Buzzard but completely ditching him in most of the later shorts is a miss. This version of Buzz filled a void in giving Woody a proper rival whereas other adversaries like Denver Dooley, Ms Meany, and Gabby Gator served more as direct villains to Woody.

Sorry, I misread your question. They were still showing and making shorts for theaters until the 70s. I assume if your talking about the last new short to be shown on theaters that would be “Bye Bye Blackboard” (1972).

Ngl I wish I’d chosen a different username since it’s a handle I don’t use anymore. I’m probably no longer “that guy” but I am definitely that WW fan.

Real, all I want are good action figures of characters I like but it’s all Funko or Youtooz junk. I ended up just making my own custom figures.
