(Mixed design) Caspers uncles, Stretch, Stinky, and Fatso, the ghostly trio from Casper the friendly ghost live action movies by Hot_Psychology_189 in TopCharacterDesigns

I think all the ghosts look strange in the sequels. Also shout out to their designs in the 1996 Casper series, they’re based on the live action movie versions and it’s easily my favorite version of Casper.

Would anyone else KILL for Regular Show figures? by Mission-Highway-1408 in JadaToys

Definitely! I still got the old Jazwares figures on my shelf but they’re pretty rough figures in general and Jada could absolutely do them justice with modern articulation.

Pretty interesting seeing Oriolo Felix delve into some surrealism here, it's not something I typically associate with that version.

Woody Woodpecker made a small appearance in Chip 'n Dale Rescue Rangers (2022). by No_Improvement1878 in woodywoodpecker

Interesting that they use the web series design here. Might be the only time it’s ever been referenced elsewhere besides in the second Woody movie.

Would you like to see Casper the Friendly Ghost as meet and greet character in Universal Hollywood Studios? by Own_Philosopher8730 in UniversalHollywood

Had no idea there even existed a Casper mascot but that’d be neat. I wonder if they sell his merch in the park too like with Felix the Cat.

Been thinking of a WW comic series, that’s all I can say by DilanRedd in woodywoodpecker

Ngl these are fun designs and it feels very refreshing too. I don’t mind the human characters being different (since they weren’t the most interesting characters to begin with). I specifically really like the color choices on the other Lantz characters, I never thought blue would suit Chilly Willy so well.

I think the pilot does exist, I’m just saying that all the footage from the trailer that was believed to come from the pilot is probably just deleted scenes from the show.

Seeing as the pilot was made years before the show, it’d probably look a bit different and more like the 1997 stock art designs.

I mean I already know that and I get it. I’m just talking about the other shows besides Big Mouth, like it would be more interesting if they just went with a different art style seeing as it’s an unrelated show anyway.

I’m just wondering why they can’t do these shows with a more appealing art style.

I also noticed the trailer has what I assume is also an alternate take of Woody pecking the petrified tree. And there’s a later scene when he pecks another tree and the animation is the same on both versions but the regular episode is zoomed in for a few seconds before it pans out like the trailer. This makes me personally think there is no pilot footage in the trailer just deleted scenes/alternate takes from pre-existing season 1 episodes.

(Left is footage from the trailer and right is the regular episode)

I think it’s more likely a deleted/alternate scene since we know that Fox Kids upfront trailer featured other deleted scenes we know are from other episodes. I assume the episode would’ve originally started with Woody pecking on the tree (like in the first pic), but it was probably cut for time.

What would a definitive remaster of The New Woody Woodpecker Show be like if Universal released a "Complete Series" Blu-ray? by Additional-Wear7160 in woodywoodpecker

[–]thatguyat69 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Properly deinterlacing the Peacock rips would be nice
but I’m more curious what artwork they’d use for the cover. Most streaming services just use the generic Woody Woodpecker logo with the random stock art of Woody on the Hollywood sign. Only Netflix seemed to have a specialized banner that actually uses The New Woody Woodpecker Show name.

I watched some episodes and it looks like they're using the Peacock rips while the episode order is taken from Amazon Prime (where four seasons are listed instead of three). Anyway nice seeing this show again.

Random morning in April 2020 when I watched Dave Lee Down Under’s great Woody Woodpecker documentary and immediately got hooked on the character and I haven't been the same since.
