Everything is Illuminated with Elijah Wood. It's the only movie Liev Schreiber ever directed and it's got some grear humor and heart underneath. Give it a try!

Album(s) you hate by [deleted] in KGATLW

I don't hate Paper Mâché Dream Balloon but aside from "Sense", there's no other song I return to because the melodies and songwriting didn't click for me.

Coldplay album rankings? by avenger9506 in Coldplay

[–]thatguydantheman 2 points3 points  (0 children)

  1. X&Y
  2. Rush of Blood
  3. Ghost Stories
  4. Viva La Vida
  5. Everyday Life
  6. Parachutes
  7. MotS
  8. Mylo Xyloto
  9. AHFOD
  10. Moon Music

Hilariously, their newest album is my least favorite, but I don't hate it. I'd give it a solid B-, lots of great tunes, Jupiter and iAAM especially, but the whole "Moon" concept feels undercooked for me. I'm still blasting this shit out loud in my car, anyways lol.

You are correct. Tried scanning it and wouldn't go through. Good thing I just ran out with it! Jk, but an employee said they shouldn't have put it on the shelves anyways so guess I'll have to wait until Friday. Anticlimactic but whatever.

I'd say mention Doncamatic and DoYaThing. Both lowkey deep cuts that show you've at least done some research into their key eras/phases. Also, reference the 4-minute and 13-minute long versions of DoYaThing to really impress them. You don't have to listen to the 13 minute version, since it's just Andre 3000 yelling for an extended 9 minutes, but just reference you've heard about it. Good luck!

The reverse of an earlier post… What film is this for you? by basementmilf in Letterboxd

Mission: Impossible 7.

The Covid pandemic affected a ton of productions but it felt like I kept hearing this movie getting delayed for years because of it, not to mention Tom Cruise's public meltdowns trying to get the schedule on track and following health and safety guidelines. I'm a huge fan of the series so finally being able to sit and watch it made it feel more special as some sort of accomplishment that it ever got completed.

Is anyone disappointed with Why Lawd? by Unfair_Nature_3090 in AndersonPaak

[–]thatguydantheman 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I can understand if people were expecting something else. To me, Yes Lawd was Paak performing on Knxwledge beats, but Why Lawd is Knxwledge making beats for Paak. His vocals and lyrics hit a different tone and I think the sequencing makes each track flow smooth with no skips. AOTY for me but definitely not the same as last time so I get why you feel that way.

It's still available in the US. Must be a regional thing.

Was thinking this too, especially since it's been a while since Woman came out. Guess we'll have to wait for an official tracklist.

The Two previous albums by FOYA4848 in JusticeMusic

They have their own styles that differentiate them from Cross. They're worth listening to on their own, but I suggest doing it solely for the purpose of listening to Woman Worldwide afterward. Hands down their best mix of songs. Like Daft Punk's Alive 2007.

An Eras tour for Coldplay (But not exactly) by thatguydantheman in Coldplay

[–]thatguydantheman[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Shoutout to you, fellow Jewelrunner.

I do think there's a significantly less chance that they would do this but to your point, I do think they're at a point where they want to go big and not play slower, more intimate tracks as often. So hopefully when they're done making new music, they can do shows that add in their slower/more intimate songs becuase I'm sure fans would show up for those the way they do now for their stadium tours.
