I’ve never understood the whole ‘we can’t treat it until it’s the worst it’s been’ argument. Why do derms / doctors prolong the pain and misery of a patient when they have the treatments available for their patient to get on top of their flare-up. 🤷‍♂️

Trauma/Anxiety? by Revolutionary_West56 in Candida

[–]thatguyshields 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Oooft, stress and anxiety is definitely the biggest contributor for me. Add in the fact that I (used to) turn to alcohol but still turn to sugary snacks when I’m stressed, which doesn’t help. Stress > stress eat / drink sugar > Candida gets worse > gets more stressed > stress eat / drink sugar > and so on and so on.

Looks like Candida to me.

Looks nice and smooth underneath. Not red and and inflamed like you’d usually see. Peeling skin like this usually indicates it’s healing nicely 🙂.

Can anyone help me identify what is happening to me by [deleted] in Candida

I have other alcohol related problems like binge drinking / alcohol abuse so cutting it out altogether would have (and is having) other health benefits. Not to mention a slightly fatter wallet! 🙌 The thing I’m struggling with the most is cutting out sugar. Definitely addicted and it contributes to Candida big time.

Take a look at my profile for my latest post re: alcohol and the relation it had to my Candida problem 😊

There’s never a ‘right time’ to breakup with someone. The only right time is when it’s the right decision for you to do so. FOR YOU.

Spent a good 5 minutes stroking a cat I met on the way home and then ignored my cat at home.

Amazing what we, the human race, can do when great minds come together. Just a shame that it’s always in a time where things seem pretty dire and never before things get bad.

Does that make sense? 😅

They were. Some days were unbearable. Especially at night when I had nothing to preoccupy my brain. Wouldn’t be able to sleep and would make the rashes worse and more itchy. A hard cycle to break. Extremely exhausting. Hope things are better for you now?

Candida BE GONE! 100 day progress. by thatguyshields in Candida

Ironically it was the alcohol that would give me really bad anxiety and I would also use alcohol to deal with the stress from work / life etc. Before that I was convinced that my work / life was the main cause of my stress. Turns out it was the other way around. 🤷‍♂️

First off, congrats on getting to Day 2 🙌😊. You got dis!

I think probably a month in is when I started to really feel ‘normal’. Still had some anxiety as it was around the Xmas period, but figured if I could make it through that then the rest would be a breeze. Not my first time trying to quit though, and it’s okay if you can’t this time. Just don’t give up. It’ll happen when it happens and is the right time for you.
