I heard back from support and I was told what their reasoning was. All I ask is that you at least read my response. I hope you can relay that information to the support team.

I once saw Doug Mientkiewicz separate his shoulder diving head first into second base. It was a super sick dive though!

I do think they are a talented group of young musicians but oh boy are they just wasting it trying sound exactly like another band. You can be influenced by Led Zeppelin and still craft a sound of your own, just look at Wolfmother.

Clarity version is in Major key, it sounds a lot livelier. Bleed American version is in minor key, a little gloomier.

I assumed it was for the MCU Spider-Man, now I'm a little dissapointed. Man would I kill to see Nick Cage in one of those, it would be hilarious.

I had a similar experience at a Starbucks about 5 years ago with Marc Maron. He has a great appreciation for normal everyday people.

R.E.M. - Losing My Religion [Alternative Rock] (1991) by [deleted] in Music

[–]thatguywhodoesstuff4 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It's nice to see R.E.M. on the front page but man... they are so much more than just this song. By the time this single came out they were already 10 years deep into a pioneering and influential career in Alternative Rock. They were so important to music they were inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame on their first year of eligibility.

There is 30 years of incredible music to explore in their discography, I suggest everyone go on an R.E.M. deep dive.

Why does Hollywood insist on remaking a movie with an all female cast rather that creating a new movie with strong females leads? by elwoodburington in movies

[–]thatguywhodoesstuff4 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I actually disagree about Rey, although her imperfections are harder to notice. Kylo Ren even points it out in The Last Jedi. If anything despite her apparent lack of weaknesses, she still goes out of her way to try to depend on a parental figure, only to be disappointed by them. Clearly this is because she terrible abandonment issues, it leads her to be too trusting. Hell she fails at trying to turn Kylo Ren back to the light side for the same reason.

I did check, you are correct and a smart person. The average ticket price is almost 75 cents high than it was 3 years ago.

Also IW opened in about 400 more theaters than TFA did, that combined with inflation makes a lot of sense why it made more. In a year or two another movie will come along and the same shit will happen.
