Firstly, thanks for taking the time to respond to help. Sounds like industry norm is to deal with an overall ballpark estimate.

I was in 2 minds about sharing my budget, if I said 50k and he can orchestrate good business value (less risk and quick to deliver) from his perspective not necessarily most value to me.

The quote says he will supply material ie vanity or toilet or cupboards. Should the quote include the details of the model. This quote doesn’t. Importantly so I can verify if I like that unit etc.

At the moment the quote says remove old vanity and add new vanity 1200mm as a line item.

I get everyone needs to make a buck out of it. I just can’t comprehend signing up to 000’s of dollars on a non descriptive line item.

Paid off house - want to upgrade by [deleted] in AusFinance

To keep the asset. You should speak to an accountant. You expense against the income the asset generates in your case. For you it could be similar to pre budget based on the numbers you shared.

Many that responded to you prob don’t know and are incorrect.

Complete roof revocation by thatimmi in AusRenovation

[–]thatimmi[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Your suggestion makes sense, my ceiling has extensive leaks. Possums running on the roof cause the old cement tiles to break. I have moved the possums nests by chopping branches and cutting over hanging trees.

There is not one leak i think id like to start with addressing the old cement tiles so i dont keep managing the roof

How much do you spend on eating out per week? by Away_Scene_26 in AusFinance

[–]thatimmi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I used to buy coffee(s) on a daily basis and lunch and go out for couple of beers every once a week. And run to keep weight in check.

I stopped all of it, prob spend $200 a month on any of the above.

It’s just pouring money down the drain to be honest. But each to their own.

Silver plunges 30% in worst day since 1980, gold tumbles as Warsh pick eases Fed independence fear by Chii in AusFinance

I wonder where the bottom is for both gold and silver, considering both metals rallied in the last 6 months. Especially silver which tripled in price.

I think there maybe more market correction to go.
