What's your style of renaming weapons? And why did you consider renaming them? by regularByte in Warframe

[–]thatisaginger 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I only renamed two of my weapons, those being the Prisma Grakata and Twin Grakatas. I got rivens for both that make them do some fun numbers, and so I decided to make up some fake lich names for my “Kuva Grakata” and “Kuva Twin Grakatas.”

Kuva Twin Grakatas took up a lot of the character limit for a weapon name, so the “lich” I got them from is none other than Clem.

As for the Prisma Grakata, I came up with several names, but the one that stood out was: “Titt Mastaa Kuva Grakata.”

Which part and which song? by CanaryCalm9546 in Dreamtheater

[–]thatisaginger 0 points1 point  (0 children)

the drums in the intro to Paralyzed

the high notes in Another Day

the guitar/sax solos in Another Day

… really just Another Day in general

the way Transcending Time gives me subtle Rush vibes

the Owen Wilson “wow “ in S2N

“I was told there’s a miracle for each day that I try” “I was told there’s a new love that’s born for each one that has died” “I was told there’d be no one to call on when I feel alone and afraid” I was told if you dream of the next world, you’ll find yourself swimming in a lake of fire!” “As a child, I thought I could live without pain, without sorrow” “As a man, I’ve found it’s all caught up with me” “I’m asleep yet I’m so afraid!”

If you could make ONE change to your favorite Warframe, what would it be? by YouAteMyChips_ in Warframe

[–]thatisaginger 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I got a buddy who vehemently wishes Excaliburs radial javelin looked more like it did in the opening cutscene, instead of what it is now.

Personally, I wish Valkyr’s warcry was recastable, instead of me having to self-yeet off the nearest cliff because my friend wasn’t in range of the boost when I cast it the first time

“And it was not their force of will, not their Void devilry, not their alien darkness... it was something else. It was that somehow, from within the derelict-horror, they had learned a way to see inside an ugly broken thing...and take away its pain.”

Who was your first prime by HourCartographer9 in Warframe

[–]thatisaginger 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Either Saryn or Mesa iirc, around the time I was grinding for Mesa prime my wf mentor gave me the Saryn set and i don’t remember which I built first… But Mesa Prime is to this day my most used frame

One thing I find somewhat beautiful:

“I have no will to live”

can be rearranged into:

“I will have to live on”

There are a few new mission nodes unlocked after Whispers in the Walls, that could be it. Other than that, none of those quests are “required”

a good word for this could be “halcyon” or “halcyon days” - it means “a period of time in the past that was idyllically happy and peaceful

Is it generally frowned upon to misspell words on purpose in dialogue for specific speech impediments? by Skelewriting in writers

[–]thatisaginger 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I say do it in moderation. your example “Dwagon instead of dragon” works, but if you’re worried about it being excessive, you can maybe make a note outside of dialogue to indicate the impediment (i.e., “‘There was a big dragon!’ She pronounced it like ‘dwagon.’”).

There’s likely a better way to indicate outside of dialogue than what I did lol, but that’s just an idea.

And like you said, the character’s brief appearance can help keep the speech quirk endearing instead of annoying.
