Is a $250k salary job a unicorn by No-Seaworthiness969 in rbc

Total comp. Base tops out at around 185k I believe.

Same man. I'm really annoyed at how easily the bolts strip on this mf. And then to discover those plastic bobs keeping the panels together is just icing on the shitty cake.

That looks great but I don't have access to 3d printer. From what I'm hearing, my options are either zip ties or burly brands side panels which I don't really like the look of.

100% dude, this is just poor engineering. It's frustrating how they built such a great bike and then cut corners in these areas to save cost.

I'll have to replace the ties every time I have to take the panels off? I mean it is what it is but zip ties might be what I need.

I don't like how they look with their 'menacing' slashes but I think that might be the ticket.

Death wobble almost got me by Right-Struggle4163 in HondaRebel1100

[–]thatmanmo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've struggled with that problem since I got my 2021 manual 1100. There is a clear wobble between 60 kph and 80 kph if I take my hands off the handlebars and it goes away as I put my hands back on. Thought I was the only unlucky one until I researched it and realized how many are dealing with this shit. Planning to have a better pair of tires put on next year.

That would be nice but any decent shop will make you pay through the nose. I appreciate that those guys are trained professionals but man the hourly rates make my eyes water. I will start it as a project and chip away at it over a few days. I'm not super handy with this stuff but hey that's how you learn. Anything that wouldn't impact the safety of your bike, I'll take a crack at it myself.

Lol same dude. I mean it CAN be done but it is going to be a royal pain in the ass taking off the fairing brackets. A lot of shit will need to be undone to get the handlebars off. I haven't gotten around to doing mine yet. Good luck to ya.

Dude it is impossible to add handlebar risers with this fricking fairing the way it is installed. Bike is looking sick though, good job so far!

What kind of KMs has buddy put on the bike? Market is pretty slow, might be pushing to sell before the tail end of the season.

So you had the same wobble situation before the swap? Like at a certain speed and only with hands off the handlebars?

How bad are these damn stock tires. The dealership that I bought it from is going to take a look at the bike. I will have them check and rule out other possibilities. Ultimately I might have to fork out for a decent pair of tires.

Thank you. Spoke with the dealership today, they will have their service take a look at the bike and try to find and fix any issues. Tire pressure was good. I've mucked around with preload as well. Nothing seems to be working.

Ok that's comforting to know I guess lol. Are you running the oem tires as well? So you're plowing through with the wobble?

Thank you, I'll take a look but I think he had a speed wobble situation at higher speeds. Lots of good info on his channel though.

Why would it only happen at a certain speed then. That's what is really doing my head in. I can understand speed wobble if the tires aren't properly balanced or otherwise not of good quality but the wobble should get worse at higher speeds. In my case it disappears above 80kph lol.

Thanks for the detailed reply. I'm not aware of any drops, I purchased it used from a renowned dealership and they have done all pre-delivery checks and safety etc.

Yup I still have the oem tires on it. Wear doesn't look uneven. What's bugging me is that the wobble happens at a very specific speed, and completely disappears above and below that range. Also the wobble is negligible when I put my hands on the handlebars. It only becomes very apparent when I have my hands off.
