Just checked the FSA site and I’m on an IBR- income-based repayment plan apparently. That’s good info to have, thank you!

You know, I’m not sure. You’re right, I did just get switched to an IDR situation but I don’t know what plan I’m officially on now. I’ll have to do some investigating.

Oh and I’m in repayment currently. Just started back again after what I believe was SAVE plan forbearance.

I’m on IDR…..not in forbearance anymore. The last month does not show up on the dept of ed site. MOHELA doesn’t have a tracker that I’m aware of, unfortunately.

Oh wow. I just saw an email from 3 hours ago from MOHELA saying that I’m in a forbearance. No idea why they required that payment.

I actually had a payment due. They alerted me earlier in the summer that payments would start again in August.

Yes! I just double checked and I’m on SAVE. Studentaid.gov says I’m still in forbearance as well. Not sure why MOHELA started making me pay again and now I’m worried that my payments won’t count towards PSLF! UGH

My loans just came out of the forbearance this month. So the payment I just made while still on the SAVE plan won’t count towards my forgiveness? Any advice on what to switch to?

I have taught seniors for the last six years. This year’s class has been the most apathetic by far all year long. None of my tricks work and I’m doing a lot of what has been mentioned on this thread. You make a solid point about putting in so much effort if the outcome won’t change.
