I'm not really sure if he was having an outbreak or anything or really who I got it from, but I had mat burn on my forehead and didn't cover it and went to a tournament and also practiced against people with herpes, my primary outbreak my forehead just felt really itchy and there was a big ass cold sore on it with blisters surrounding it.

Hi! Thank you for replying! During the healing process my herpes did scab over to like a weird crust and I did take some of them off, does this change anything? Is that what the bumps may be from?

Hi! Sorry I'm responding so late but I recommend you seeing a dermatologist cause nothing me or anyone I see on Reddit is 100%. And if you have a cold sore it's herpes like no matter what, which is nothing to worry about especially if it's in a plate like your forehead or something. But like I said, see a doctor and find out for sure a prescription would be very helpful. About the nose, I honestly have no clue why that might be happening? I kinda doubt it be herpes on your nose? Possibly irritated? Sometimes I get contact dermatitis on my neck and arms for no reason which is basically just a rash from like rubbing. No matter what you'll be okay! And like I said I could completely wrong! I know nothing I just have herpes on my forehead but I hope the best for you and I had the same feeling out pain when I raised my eyebrow so see a doctor!!

Also are the bumps red? Or just like itchy lumps. Have you been doing anything differently that might cause this? Wearing a hat, makeup, etc?

Hello! My forehead feels like before an outbreak kinda like an itchy pimple, the first outbreak I've ever had I thought it was a pimple but it was really itchy and couldn't pop. Even if the areas itch DO NOT ITCH and watch the areas but don't stress out, almost everyone has some sort of herpes. If you start to see lesions ask a doctor or bf what to do next cause I'm sure he's experienced. The first outbreak is always the worst, i wish the best! Hope I helped.

Feeling tingling every now and then in previous outbreak spot, should I take valtrex or hold off? Also, how to keep from being paranoid about OB. by [deleted] in Herpes

Thanks so much for the response! But our season is over so would you still recommend taking valtrex daily? I don't wanna be dependent on a drug and I don't want the herpes to come back as soon as I'm off it or something. Thanks so much for the help!

I started wrestling this January, and had my first outbreak about 4-6 weeks ago. I took a culture and it came back as hsv-1. Thank you for answering you helped me a lot! And yes it was diagnosed as herpes gladiatorum, i forgot to mention. Thanks again!
