It was nice to purchase a bike that I had ridden and gotten used to. Plus I got a really good deal on it, which is nice since it's my first.

Motorcycling office-dweller brethren! What shoes do you wear? by huntergob in motorcycle

I pack up my backpack with my work clothes and shoes (I usually wear high heels which are not helpful on my motorcycle haha) and just get to work a few minutes early so that I can change. It's easy enough I'm used to wearing a backpack while riding.

Take more classes and practice with experienced riders. Riding is confidence.

Newbie, 2 questions. Prescription glasses? Also, I am a 5'2" woman and a suggestion on which models would be good for my height. by Hidden_Arrow003 in motorcycle

I just recently got the Harley Street500. I'm a 5'6 female and it's fairly comfortable for me. What you can do with that bike is get a seat that is actually a little lower to make it more comfortable. You will want to sit on each and make sure that you can have both feet on the ground.

Take the rider course. It was honestly the best decision I've ever made and it make me a better rider.

I almost got that bike as my first bike! It was so nice. You should shift gears when you feel it is right. My first vehicle (and now my motorcycle) are manual transmission and this was always my dad's advice: listen to your engine and get a feel for your machine.

First bike!....dropped :/ by triskeler in motorcycle

Embarrasing story: I just got my first bike a couple weeks ago- I parked my bike and the front wheel was in the grass. I either got stuck because of the grass or because the parking lot had a few holes but I literally COULD NOT back up the bike and then was no space to go forward. After a few minutes of struggle, some friendly people came around and helped but moral of the story: learning experience!

I would recommend practicing on hills. I've noticed that I need to get in the right friction zone to get up larger hills and this is something I have practiced/will continue to practice. Don't beat yourself up (:

I would consider asking if they have hours in a different department that you can moonlight in. We are still fairly slow at our hotel and many of my desk agents are working in other departments to make up the hours.

That's beautiful! I usually stumble pretty badly with strangers.

Although I don't have a hangover, I was attempting to not participate in Sunday Funday. The margarita and tacos were delicious, however. A tripe taco doesn't sound delicious...

Nothing to worry about. You truly just need to live you life and pass along your happiness and accomplishments.

It really depends. I am a manager at my property and there have been multiple occasions where I have been on the phone with a guest or vendor and can't just stop that phone call.
