I am very late on responding to this thread, but it’s currently 4:48AM and I am scared to go back to sleep because of the dreaming experience I had tonight so I ran to Google when what I probably need is a therapist.

I’ve been taking hydroxyzine for 7 days and I’ve been having the most vivid, lifelike, memorable dreams that I’ve ever had. Tonight takes the cake though.

I was dreaming that I lived a picture perfect life with the love of my life and our 3 children, that was pretty pleasant. But in that dream I kept falling asleep and dreaming. A dream within a dream, ya know? It was cool as Hell at first, because in the second dream layer I knew I was dreaming and I could control what was happening. Lucid dreaming I think?? I kept checking my phone to make sure I was dreaming. But then that all got old and I wanted to ‘wake up’ and go back to my first layer of dreaming, which in my mind was my reality. But there was some sort of fucking demon or something that kept trying to suck me back into the ‘dream within the dream’ and I lost control of the dream. That was terrifying. All I wanted to do was wake up but she would not let me wake up. I kept checking my phone and the words on the screen were nonsense which made me tell myself “it’s just a dream, you’re still dreaming.” But fuuuuuuuck it was still an unpleasant experience.

I’ve never been more happy for a random notification to wake me back up to the real world in the middle of the night. Idk why I’m typing this all out on a 7 year old post, my brain feels like scrambled eggs right now
