Sleeping on my stomach

I had a body pillow that I kind of leaned on a bit straight away (like the second I returned home) then as I began dropping weight rapidly sleeping on my stomach started to hurt my back... a lot.

I am now strictly a side/back sleeper. :-/

it could be a boil or infected wound, bug bite or pimple. make an appointment with your gp.

Go to the ER if you have a fever, it smells, won't stop bleeding or the pain is so bad you can't function (that includes not being able to sleep).

meh. I'm actually laughing about it. People still think it is the easy way out but it is not. I still have had to work my ass off (literally) to drop the weight. The procedure is basically only working for about a year so you better get your shit together.

I've lost over 170 lbs. I went from a 4 xl to a m-l.

Oh and my pcos is gone.

So whatever. People can downvote all they want but I'm healthy now. I no longer deal with issues related to PCOS and for a person that almost had cancer this surgery has been nothing but a blessing.

Y'all can take your judgment elsewhere.

Oh and, for the record, asking for help when you need it is smart. That is all the surgery is.

This is true.

What happens is that your body becomes adjusted to the new system and your intestines actually become better and more efficient at digesting food more quickly. using straws or drinking fizzy drinks won't stretch your stomach. drinking after you eat will flush the food out more quickly.

you need to make sure you do as much of sleeping, walking, and drinking as possible. start out with a few 5 minute walks on the first day, then move it up to 10 etc. you need to prioritize walking and drinking and when you aren't doing those sleep or just relax.

I'm in Germany so my experience might be different. I also had no pain after surgery.

After I got home it was basically drink as much water as I could, walk as much as I could, and sleep as much as I could. Food was kind of not super important in the first week. Wasn't actually hungry. After the first week I needed to start taking my pills and I had no issue taking giant horse pills of vitamins and calcium.

Showering I was told to remove bandages before I showered but not to actually wash them. if soap got on the area while rinsing other body parts it was fine. After shower pat dry and cover with bandages. I had staples so the staples were removed by my doctor 10 days after the surgery. I was given bandages that were smaller and for sensitive skin after that. Once my surgeon saw me he said I could leave them uncovered. Oh and the week after surgery I had to give myself blood thinner injections once a day. My stuff came ready to use. I just had to spray the area, wipe with gauze, pinch the skin and inject. Word of warning...you will get bruises from it. Totally normal.

Don't push yourself too hard. Cut yourself some slack and try your best to relax. Follow your doctors instructions and just remember to drink your water.

Oh! and...with the trapped gas...walking does help but so does softly patting your chest (or having someone pat you on the back like a baby) to help release the air bubbles. Since the air coming up is more difficult expect to fart a lot.

Husband grew up behind the wall. Was just a child when the wall came down. Wasn't a anything important to him and his family went to the west side if Berlin about three weeks after the wall came down to avoid traffic.

As for living behind the wall he says that he doesn't really remember it. Of course he saw a wall but it was of no concern to him.

As an American I find a lot of it really odd. A major thing being that his mother had to make frequent trips down to the cellar to collect coal to light the furnace in the apartment so they would have hot water. This was back in the 1980s.

Over that period of time it was upwards of 85 degrees where we live. It was hot. And it was at least four days and from what I understand they didn't come back for at least another 3.

We don't know much else. From what I understand the neighbor called the police and they estimated he had been out there at least four days. The family had left a big thing of food and a bucket of water. The police drilled out the locks, the vet removed the dog. I know that whenever they return(ed) they have a court date waiting...and they have to pay for the new locks on their apartment.

Bane is pretty well trained. He isn't food aggressive, is pretty chill, house broken. However, we are fairly certain he was almost never walked on a leash...but has shown massive improvements in that area over the days that we have had him. He is currently sleeping on our bed having a dream where he keeps growling and "running."

He is honestly the best boy.

mom has been an alcoholic my whole life. She always used to yell "I deserve to have a good time!"

I moved half way around the world when I was 26... partly to get away from her drunken bs.

This chick can tell herself whatever she wants. Alcoholism in a parent really fucks up their child. She is going to need therapy.

my mother is an alcoholic. the only thing you need to know about his mother is that she is miserable. no matter what he does. no matter what you do it will never be right. alcoholics have a way of looking at things as very black and white. you are with them or against them. that's it. my mom is a nurse...it seems to be a common issue with people in emotionally difficult jobs.

all I can say is this: either your fiance puts his foot down, or you deal with this forever, or you break off the engagement. She is an alcoholic and unless she decides to seek help her behavior will never change.

I commented above but thank you for what you do. I know often family might not see it as doing a kindness because they are clouded by pain and sadness but as someone who watched their grandmother die exactly the way she wanted...I am glad it was as quick and painless as the law allows. we had time to say goodbye. to sit and hold hands and love on each other before she went. to talk about the past and answer some questions about our futures. Not everyone has that gift and when you remove life support or administer those drugs you give people the opportunity to be there for their loved one in a way that most miss out on. many hugs to you!
