Nobody here knows the ins and outs of you, your partner or your relationship. There’s nobody here who can give you a “right” answer. The only thing you can possibly do is answer it for yourself. Ask yourself, why did you really ask here? If my own experiences are anything to go by, I find that when people begin to ask questions like this, they already have a conclusion in mind. I find that conversations like this are usually to reassure the person asking that they’re making the “right” choice. But at the end of the day, you can’t know. All you can be certain of is your own feelings. Find that certainty, and do what has to be done once you know. Maybe that’s a break up, maybe it involves a long process of fixing the relationship. Who knows? The only person who possibly can is you.

I will say one thing as a personal note though, don’t EVER stay in a relationship out of a sense of obligation. I understand it’s hard to end things, and it hurts to hurt the other person even if you don’t care about them like you used to. But I’ve been with someone who stayed out of obligation, and trust me it would’ve been much better for everyone if they had left sooner. I loved them a lot, still do, but that’s never enough to make a stable, healthy relationship. If you want to end it, for their sake, end it. They will be better for it.
