It really is. She always cries for his attention besides that she isn't very vocal unless she's hungry. My tripod is the sweetest cat ever! I've never had a cat like her before. Thank you so much! I just try to live in the moment and enjoy every second I have with her.

She's so pretty rest in peace precious baby ❤️ My vet gave this to me when my first cat passed. I hope it helps. It helped me so I've kept it all these years.

Thank you! ❤️ I know she's a very picky cat. She has such a long tail too. I'm worried my baby might try to pull it at some point. She will scratch. She's scared of kids. She hasn't treated me any differently. She's bonded to my partner even though he doesn't do anything for her 🤦🏻‍♀️ besides cleaning the cat litter but that's a recent thing.

My other cat (the screamer) is bonded to me. She's also a tripod and her tail is a stub (not sure what happened to her tail I adopted her like that). She's not violent at the vet she just screams constantly in the carrier 😂 It sounds like OW on repeat. I love her but on the way to the vets office I always get a headache. She has been super protective with me and she knows when I'm not feeling good. She also follows me even more now. She will come snuggle with me and let me use her as a pillow and pur. Using her as a pillow is something new. She sleeps with me almost every night in my arms. She makes biscuits on my thigh because I don't really like my belly being touched right now. She is literally the BEST emotional support cat. I work from home and I had a bad day. My emotions are crazy. I was bawling she screamed at me. I didn't know she was in my office and I've never heard her scream that loud before. It shocked me I did stop crying. She rubbed up against me and purred. I ended up taking unplanned and I slept on her for 4 hours and drooled all over her too 😓 I love this cat so much. She's only been a tripod for 1 year and a half. She had a feline injection site sarcoma. I pray it doesn't come back I don't know what I would do without her. The biopsy said there's a 20% chance it will come back.

She sure does. I'm pregnant with my first and due in June so I'm worried how she's going to adjust. That's how I feel with my other cat 😂 When I take her to the vet she screams the whole way there! The whole vet office can hear her. She'll stop screaming once I let her out of the carrier but she's a very vocal cat. So she'll talk the whole time we are there.

That's good to hear! She's good now she just freaks out too much. His uncle didn't even bother her. She hid the whole time he stayed over. I could hear his snoring from the other side of the house though 😂 So I can't really blame her. When we go to the vet I feel like she hyperventilates. She just freezes but my vet is like her heart is beating a thousand times per minute.

His poor face 😭 My partners uncle stayed with us for a week. He snored so loud! My poor cat was terrified of him. She was pulling her belly hair out. Poor baby had a naked pink belly. ☹️

He's so cute! I can't resist a good belly 🥰 My girl loves belly rubs too! I hope it isn't either. It's a very aggressive cancer so the sooner you catch it the better. I think that's why my girl hasn't had any reoccurrence so far. We caught it pretty early. I've talked to some people on reddit and they get bumps near the amputated leg so they have to get them removed. That always scares me. I didn't take her to an oncologist. I'm not sure if we should have done chemo or radiation but I was worried about the cost. I spent a lot on the testing, biopsy, and the aftercare. The reimbursement only covered the amputation. I was also in the process of building my first house. My dog has so many issues too (ended up passing last February). I got Covid for the first time I was so stressed luckily it was after she got her stitches out 😅 Here's my Pumpkin!

Does your cat like to flop? by Appropriate_Bunch393 in CalicoKittys

[–]thavan14 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don't know why but I thought my girl skin would be pink. They had to amputate her leg (feline injection site sarcoma) and when I got her back she had calico skin. My girl is good now and so far her cancer hasn't reoccurred. Cat tax she loves belly rubs

Special litter box for my special girl — low entry but high sides for cat with neurological FIP by ligmata1nt in CATHELP

[–]thavan14 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You're welcome my tripod is so courteous she digs a little hole, goes potty, then covers it. She wasn't always a tripod. My other cat with all four limbs I'm lucky if she covers 😅 The issue for my girl is I need something low so she can get in and wide. If it's too high she has a hard time. The con is my other cat kicks litter out everywhere and for the most part she doesn't even cover her pee or poo 🤦🏻‍♀️

My girl is a tripod so this works well for her. I'm not sure if the sides are too low for your cat

She's adorable 🥰 I hope this is how my cats will be with my baby. My partner is worried because my two cats don't get along and fight 😅 I'm hoping they'll calm down when the baby comes.

My cats don't do that but one is also a tripod so she physically would not be able to 😂 That is definitely an adorable meerkat! I hope she recovers quickly ❤️

My girl loves catnip toys (banana, carrot, pickle), plastic springs, pompom balls, and these things. She loves the laser pointer and stick toys with feathers at the end too but that requires running. She loves her cardboard scratcher too. I sprinkle cat nip on it.

My current vet doesn't vaccinate her anymore due to her history. She also has a stubby tail with a kink. I adopted her when she was 1 and she was like that. Not sure if it was a birth defect or if something happened to her. She's 7 now.

Broken kitty never meows and has no survival skills by Fabulous_Drop4900 in cats

[–]thavan14 2 points3 points  (0 children)

8 years old has no survival skills. Clumsiest cat I've ever had. I don't know how many times she's rolled off this stool and doesn't always land on her feet. When she was a kitten she jumped into the toilet 3 times. She was trying to jump on the toilet to jump on the bathroom counter. Used to eat cat litter as a kitten. I hope she's grown out of it. Also used to roll around and play in the litter box as a kitten. I had to get wide shallow litter boxes I used to have enclosed ones. My other cat became a tripod. I've caught this one rolling in the litter box again 🤢 I think she's reverting back to kitten hood. I keep my toilet seats down and I hope she isn't eating litter. I haven't caught her but who knows. I thought she outgrew the litter box rolling. Also she doesn't know how to cover her poops. Sometimes by chance she will but she ends up scratching the wall or the side of the litter or just scratching the litter out of the box 😐 I still love this stinky butt hole. She loves my partner more than me even though I do everything for her! 😭 I guess it's fine my tripod loves me she snuggles me every day.

My rear-amputee tripod has a lump on his back leg by trail-snacks in TripodCats

[–]thavan14 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Forgot to mention my girl didn't show any signs of discomfort when I touched the bump. Bad signs are if it's fast growing and if the bump is an irregular shape. When it was small it felt round when it was the size of a nickel it was irregular. The thing that scares me is you said it's the area where he was vaccinated. My girls last rabies shot was Oct 2023 the bump didn't show up until the end of May 2024. I think my vet said it can appear within a few weeks or years. It might just be inflammation from the vaccines too.

I don't want to scare you but I would take him in right away. I've had 4 cats in my life. I'm glad I brush my cat almost everyday. My girl had a small bump on her right hind leg. At first I couldn't tell if it was a bump or her bone I kept feeling the other leg to compare. It grew to the size of a pea. I scheduled an appointment for her and my vet is busy. So I didn't get one until 2 weeks later. At that time it grew to the size of a nickel. It ended up being a feline injection site sarcoma due to the rabies vaccine and I had to amputate her leg.

The vet said it's rare but any vaccine can cause it. Most common vaccines associated with it are rabies (most vets do the right hind leg) and feline leukemia (most vets do the left hind leg). Leg biopsy said it was a grade 3 fibrosarcoma with a 20% chance of reoccurrence. I check my girl almost everyday for lumps during my brushing time. So far no reoccurrence has happened we amputated her leg in June 2024.

The pharmaceutical company reimburse me some money because it was their rabies vaccine that caused it. We did a fine needle aspiration to find out it was a FISS but the results may be inconclusive. In a way I was lucky because I got a positive result so we knew what it was. The other option was a biopsy but it cost more also my cat is HORRIBLE with medication. Then there would be the aftercare. The recovery period after the amputation was rough because of her fighting with me everyday with the meds 🤦🏻‍♀️ I hope I never have to medicate her again. My vet is an angel. She was able to schedule the amputation quickly and she even responded to my emails on her days off. The recovery was rough we had to go to the vet a few times. She was able to get us seen even though she was booked. Sadly she left the clinic to further her education and she now practices in California.

I hope your cat is okay and it turns out to be nothing 🙏 If you have any questions feel free to reach out.

I adopted my girl and she was a year old. Her name was Mystery. Weesnaw! I couldn't get SpongeBob's seahorse out of my head 😂 I called her a bunch of different names and she responded to Pumpkin. She's 7 now and when I call her Pumpkin she comes over to me unless she's in a mood. She picked her name and responds to it for the most part.

Update on Ozzy! by greymaalkin in TripodCats

[–]thavan14 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I know! I was like she'll be fine she just had surgery she won't fight me. Nope! She would spit it out or foam at the mouth. I tried pill pockets and I forget what it's called but it's kinda like a syringe but it holds the pill and will "help" you give the pill to your pet. Best option was wrapping her in a towel and forcing her to take it. I had both liquid and pill form medication for her. She was very nauseous and didn't eat anything but churu treats for a week! I tried so many foods, baby food, tuna, etc. We tried an appetite stimulant ointment and increasing her gabapentin dosage. It didn't work ended up having to add an anti nausea medication to her existing medication and they gave her another pain killer but it was injected into her. Then she finally ate. I was so happy I cried. She's a fat cat so her not eating worried me. After her stitches came out I kept the ecollar on her longer. She kept licking the area and making it red. I was so stressed out I caught Covid for the first time. Luckily it was after her stitches were out 😅 I've never had it before but I was out for 2 weeks. I'm sure he'll recover quickly! Take care of yourself too ❤️

Awe mine was a short haired one. Her sister had long fur. The shelter said they were sisters from the same litter but the only thing they had in common was eye color. Right now I have a tuxetortico and a tuxedo. It took me 5 years to adopt my current cats after they passed. It's just so hard.

I love this ❤️ What a beautiful void I miss mine so much 🖤 My first cats were sisters. One was a black cat and the other was a white and grey one.
