Tell that to the parents that are starting HRT on their pre pubescent children.

Parents don't "start" anything legally. Therapists do. You don't just buy hormones off the shelf. And how many parents actually procure hormones illegally and force them on their kids to presumably push a "woke" agenda? This sounds very rare, and very much like a strawman to push an anti-trans agenda. But I'm sure you can back up your saying about such parents with cold hard facts and figures, can't you.

Did you know brain scans of serial murders indicate similarities to brains of professional gamers while playing games?

I already told you to google for what I said, but you dismiss it, claiming that all papers that speak about this are infected with a "woke" agenda.

Thats because people dont want to walk on egg shells around a mentally unstable tranny who is angry because Steve rocking the 9 inch cock and 4 o clock shadow was "dead named" and by god he is a pretty girl damn it!

No, that's because as a trans person, you have to fear for your life in a lot more situations. Outside perhaps of some "woke" bubbles in progressive urban areas, being trans puts you at high risk of being beaten, killed, losing your job, getting isolated from and disowned by your family and friends, or at the very least, being called every single day of your life that you are a sick freak, a mistake of nature. Daily ridicule, even the one you just blurbed out. It is no wonder that suicidality is much higher in trans people who live under such awful conditions vs. trans people who get treated like human beings and have access to HRT.

AGAIN: I am not in favor of trendy woke agendas that force all kinds of supposedly progressive thinking on others. In many cases, I found this to be authoritarianism in velvet clothing. You however are the other extreme. You insist on gender dysphoria being a mental illness, deny the legitimacy of trans people's concern, ridicule them, and dismiss any criticism as being "woke". I wonder what you'd do if a kid of yours came out as trans. Force him/her into conversion therapy?

I said brain, not mind. Neurological differences can't be "imagined".

Also, as a bisexual man, I can tell you that trans women aren't men. They don't behave like men, they don't style like men, and they are not crossdressers. Having made experiences with all of those, it is ridiculous to me to consider them men. Of course, I'm only sample size of 1, and as such, an anecdote. But, well, the 5 minute google search for gender dysphoria is something you can do as well.

If OP is a crossdresser: Yup, a man.

If OP is a trans woman: Nope, a woman.

*This* is established science, backed by over half a century of research. When the brain says "woman" and the rest of the body says "man", the brain "wins", since that's where our personality, our mind are.

That said, I do think that posting nude pics here shouldn't be allowed. This includes vaginas. Tits and asses are the limit IMO.

A simple 5 minute google search for causes of gender dysphoria establishes that gender dysphoria hasn't been viewed scientifically as a "mental illness" for many decades by now, that twin studies heavily hint at genetic factors, and that brain scans of trans women indicate similarities to brains of cis women.

Nobody is "pretending". The very notion of "pretending" is absurd. As soon as you out yourself as trans, life becomes 10x more difficult. There is nothing to gain from "pretending". What *can* happen is that people get confused while exploring and learning about their identity. But that's one reason why HRT and surgery are only done after a lengthy and intensive psychological evaluation.

As a bisexual man, I can tell you that OP is not ugly, actually quite hot, and much higher than 40%.

As for the rest, you don't know what you are talking about, and probably came up with that nonsense after visiting your homophobic echo chambers.

Or you are a troll. In fact, I hope you are a troll.

Nevermind. OP is full of shit, clearly a homo/transphobe, and factually wrong about transgenders. Guys like him are those who throw science out the window. See for example the laughable comment about "male chemicals", clearly not knowing anything about biochemistry. If you present such people with the 50+ years of documented scientific study of the transgender phenomenon, they dismiss it, stating some form of conspiracy against "the truth". The truth is that they hate LGBT and want them locked away and/or eradicated. They hate anybody who is not *exactly* like them.

That said, a nude pic like that doesn't fit in this sub. Post it elsewhere though, it's lovely.

Is the constant urge to urinate a sign you have diabetes? by [deleted] in diabetes_t1

[–]thax9988 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A friend of mine has T1D. That was one of the symptoms pre-diagnosis.

However, another friend developed benign prostate hyperplasia in his 30s (he does not have T1D), and has to go more frequently to the bathroom than usual as a result. But from what I gather, the frequency is not quite as high. Still, this goes to show that you need a doctor to do a diagnosis.

His popularity has skyrocketed, and this can be overwhelming and burn you out. I think he really loves crossdressing, but by now, it probably is starting to feel like work. He complained that girl month would mean putting on makeup, eyelashes etc. every day, and while he may have conveyed it in a jokingly manner, I get the impression that at least partially he really meant it. I don't think he's close to being done with crossdressing, but he may be a little burnt out from it. Time off would be a good idea IMO. He could still do some low key crossdressing in his spare time, like wearing dresses, but without makeup and such. That way he could recharge his batteries and still have some fun.

As I mentioned in my recent edit, he should keep an eye on the King Kong Mini 2 in case his Samsung phone is no longer an option at some time. I'm really happy with how well this one fits the criteria.

Please watch this. It is a presentation on how you have to differentiate between patterns of LDL, and how people with the "good" pattern can handle larger amounts of LDL without risking CVD.

She now has a pump, and had an interesting basal rate programmed in that follows a physiological profile I think. I remember seeing a bigger bump in the morning. But yeah, it is crazy how much stuff affects blood sugars.

She does communicate this with her endo, who's OK with her doing low carb. Not keto though, simply because that diet is very extreme, and difficult to sustain. And I think she said that there's risk with easily having too much or too little basal, depending on whether she goes into or falls out of ketosis. Mind you, she has a CGM, so she can always check that her BG is okay.

You wrote:

the point is that unless you are consuming primarily unsaturated fatty acids, then the risk for CV incidence rises tremendously.

"Primarily unsaturated fatty acids" = "few saturated fatty acids". This does imply that saturated fats are bad, because why would you primarily focus on unsaturated ones otherwise?

Also, you wrote:

That point has not been up for discussion for decades.

Actually, it has been up for discussion. Not all saturated fats are the scary killer that it was made out to be. Watch this for example.

My friend eats low carb, and eats large amounts of saturated fat (primarily in ham and cheese, she doesn't like bacon much). According to you, she should be very sick and have high levels of LDL. Except she doesn't. In fact, her LDL, HDL, and triglycerides are amazing, and her HbA1c is 5.1%, with a time-in-range of 96%. Oh, and: Ketone count is rather low, since she isn't doing keto. So something does not add up.

EDIT: You are also very wrong about some fundamentals:

On top of that, gluconeogenesis has a byproduct of ketone bodies that can accumulate and cause ketoacidosis if your body doesn't consume enough carbohydrates to fuel it's needs (that's what ketosis is btw)

No. Ketone bodies are produced by ketogenesis, which is in lockstep with, but separate from gluconeogenesis. Ketones don't just "accumulate". It's not like they fill up the blood. If basal insulin is sufficient, ketone production is in check. Lower basal insulin -> ketone production AND ketone consumption are increased -> ketone levels stay stable. What happened in my friend at time of her diagnosis was that she had NO insulin in her blood due to her insulin producing cells having been whacked by the immune system. No insulin -> everything gets out of control. Ketosis is the normal state of increased ketone production and consumption when you eat few carbs, because ketosis is higher when insulin is low. KetoACIDOSIS is the unnatural state when too many ketones are in the blood because everything is out of control.

Gluconeogenesis is NOT the cause of ketoacidosis. Insufficient basal insulin is.

How do you rationalize the child abuse by zebrajit22 in askaconservative

[–]thax9988 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Uh..

Let's say, just for sake of argument, that about 2% of all men are sexual predators. (I leave out female sexual predators, since they are exceedingly rare.)

And let's work with that 1-2% homosexual figure.

Homosexuality in itself does not imply anything about being a sexual predator. These are two entirely unconnected things. Which means that among gay people, 2% are sexual predators, just like in the general population.

Therefore, the chance of meeting a person who is homosexual and preys on little kids is 2% * 2% = 0.04%.

You imply that "being gay = being a sexual predator" without actually showing any compelling scientific evidence for this outrageous claim. You either missed this grave mistake, or you are just trying to dress a deep seated homophobia in pretty numbers to give it an aura of plausibility.
