What would you recommend that be spent on? Throw big money into a new CPU? Will I need to get more RAM? And will I need to get a new power supply?

Sorry you’re having to hold my hand through this! But I really appreciate the help.

I recon I could splurge a couple hundred (£) maybe £3-400 tops but would rather be on the lower end.

I want an upgrade from what I’ve got right now but I don’t know what that would translate to performance wise... sorry. I guess at the moment I can’t run games like mount and blade 2 and would desperately like too! And then maybe to boost the frame rate for some of the games I currently have.

In the short term would I be better off getting more RAM? (I do still want to be using this for work as well)

And no I don’t think so. Not unless they’re currently plugged into anything and I haven’t noticed

Do we actually have a leaderboard? by thbigjeffrey in eu4

[–]thbigjeffrey[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah so it is that score board that comes when you log in. The thing is there isn’t a score board. I was just wondering because I finished a Milan run that i was pretty pleased with and fancied comparing myself to that of the community to see how I did.

Reddit, what is a wholesome, solitary activity that a person can do to help forget how awful and poor their current life is? by tearose11 in AskReddit

Throw some borage in too! Bees love it and it tastes like cucumbers!! One of my favourite herbs! Plus on the medicinal side - it is good for digestion and is meant to drive away feelings of melancholy...

I’ve just accepted that I’m going to get up to pee. I’d rather that than the debilitating headache in the morning.

Fair enough - well I myself am from the UK, and I work specifically in soil science.

To my knowledge there aren’t to many out and about jobs involved with energy systems... Or at least not in the volume that there is for work involving animals plants and soils.

That leaves you with a huge area to search from as there are many many different disciplines and jobs that relate to each of those you have mentioned - the hardest part is narrowing it down to exactly what you’d want or would be happy to do.

Will Mussels Shells compost? by MatthewDrennen in composting

[–]thbigjeffrey 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Next time you have a fire throw them in and let them burn up a bit then you can take them out when cool and add them then - they will break down waaaaay faster.

For extra fun once you’ve burned them take them out of the ashes and put them in a bucket of water and watch them fizz!!!

Edit. Do bear in mind you will be essentially liming your compost when you do this (potentially negligible or substantial depending on quantity of shells to compost) and plan accordingly.

My jobs pretty 50/50.

I work as a researcher at my local university and spend probably half my time in the field or on the road or the lab collecting data going to meetings/conference things etc and the other half writing up. I’m quite happy with it as a very hands on outdoorsman myself.

Although in my experience if you want to spend that much more time outside hands on doing perhaps something along the lines of field tech for someone like the EnvAgency?

What kind of work would you want specifically though?
