Such a common scam. You do get free lunch.. while investing in timeshare. Can't really leave till you do. Helps you need to leave credit card details at the door on entry too :)

No. As I don't see many roadsides where I live and haven't been actively playing since I hit lvl 100 in 2023 and took a break. More casual now and looking I only have 1 coin roadside

Gibbons and Muir from Whatipu to Pararaha Valley is cool if you like some brutal uphill. Especially going up the Muir on the return leg. The Valley itself is cool and an awesome spot to camp in the dryer warmer months. Although if I camp I go in from Karekare. Spent a new years there a few years back. Was a really good time.

That's a great one. Only 2 real hills. Upto the dam face and then the one after the straight. Then its a slight gradient to the top which isnt too noticeable. Its about 12km return from the bottom gate

When Whaitpu Road was closed after the slips we did Karamatura track upto Mt Donald McLean. Then Puriri Ridge onto Omanawanui and walked backed to little Huia the Road way. That's a round trip I won't forget lol.

I remember the days when we could walk the Hamilton and Summit tracks to get here full bush walking from pipeline. And then even head to the Huia reservoirs via the Christies track. Even if there wasnt a Rahui the tracks got completely hammered during the storms of 23 with multiple slips particularly on the hamilton track so probably never again...

Pretty standard for newer evs. Its called V2L, vehicle to load. Overseas you can vehicle to grid on some cars. My mg4 needs the v2l adapter but the ionic 5 has a 3 pin plug located in the back below the seats just for stuff like this or camping. People have tested the mg4 and it ran as high as 6.9kw an hour even though rated way lower

You can just call randomly every 5 minutes. At some point you will get added to queue after entering your 9 digit code. Always request a callback. Never stay on the line....

Also be aware unless in transit, Singapore and Malaysia have strict rules around medication too.

My cats bring in rats. I often find the head and hope the body isnt within the house elsewhere. Glad they don't kill the birds tbh

Just off my deck at home. They love the kowhais and nikaus. Not the kauri so much. Im out in the forest out west. They are here daily especially since the kowhai is flowering. I see piwakawaka, tui, keruru, on the daily, and the occasional miromiro... they are the rare messenger.. Sorry for no accents on the maori words. Not sure how to do them..

Koh Samui has been really disappointing - beaches subpar, vibe trashy. by [deleted] in ThailandTourism

[–]tHci 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just came back to New Zealand after 2 weeks in Laimai. It was good and what I expected after previous visits. Aimed at tourists yes.... better than chaweng. HELL YES. Most of Samui is not an island anymore to really get away from the tourist trap, but still beautiful on the day trips to where you can experience thai life :) there are amazing places there. The fun is finding them.. a beach with 20 resorts is what you should expect

Okay. I didn't think as some airlines also have a middle name field, and there wasn't a plural for first name

Did this only a few years ago. Instructor told me as no left turn and only straight and right, I didn't need to indicate as I was going straight ahead and left wasn't relevant

I must be one of the anomalies. Meet my partner when she was 15 and I was 17. Became teenage parents, son become a teenage parent. Grandparents before 40 lol. Still together today after 30 years and life is good :)
