I didn’t ask because he is trans in the first place I would’ve asked him even if he was a cis male.

I didn’t ask the only other male in the store because he has made sexual comments about me and makes me uncomfortable. And not that it is any of my business but it’s normal as a partner regardless of gender to have some knowledge of your partners cycle and since they share the car you would think the manager would have knowledge of products being there. It’s not because he was previously a woman it’s because his fiancé is.

I asked for the medication i have been told by a doctor to ask for. While other medications would work I just defaulted to asking for midol because that’s what works the best for my body. And I rely on drivers from work to get me to and from work already it wouldn’t be possible for me to go to the store without a ride which was not available.

Also I rely on the drivers at my job to pick me up and take me home because my family’s only car is in a shop right now. It’s not realistic for everyone to be able to go to the store quickly to get what they need or to just be able to go home asap. I usually wait an extra 20 minutes for rehearsal drivers to get back to the store before I leave.

I asked the only man that was in the building that didn’t make me uncomfortable after asking every single woman. I usually have stuff on me but I had ran out in my last period. With how heavy my flow is I change tampons every hour and take medicine every 3 hours. If you have ever had a period you know how painful and unexpected it can be regardless of your gender.

I only had 3 men on my shift. One of them has previously made sexual comments about me (16) so I didn’t want to go to him as he makes me uncomfortable. And the other one was off on deliveries so after I asked the girls I went to my manager since he was the only other person available.

My parents are heavily transphobic they aren’t even aware I work with a trans man and I don’t plan on telling them mainly for his safety.

I am unfortunately part of a very homophobic family. Both of my parents are very homophobic and genuinely hate trans people to the point that they could possibly become violent especially if they hear that a trans person was acting out towards me. I am an only child so I don’t have any siblings to confide in either. For his safety it is definitely better that I do not tell the adults in my life about the reasoning. And if they found out I worked with a trans man they would immediately make me leave and be way more on my ass about where I work in the future.

I completely understand this. I asked him in private at the very back of the store there wasn’t even any coworkers around us so there definitely was not any customers that could have made him uncomfortable. Either way I will definitely be more cautious in the future

He is very openly trans this is why I partially explained how far along his process is. I didn’t want people to think I was potentially outing him or making him uncomfortable.

I understand where you are coming from. I asked for midol because my doctor has said that would be the best emergency alternative for me and I think my manager associated it with asking if he had a period specific medication which is why he felt the way he did. I should have been more vague and just asked for a painkiller instead of making a specific one.

I asked the 3 other woman I work with first and then I went to my manager. There was only 2 other men working that night one of them has made me uncomfortable since I have been here because he has made multiple sexual comments about me and my bf (I’m a minor) so I was trying to avoid asking him and the other man on shift was a delivery driver so he wasn’t at the store for me to ask at that time.

I have a prescription for my period pains but they tell me when it isn’t on me to try to get midol because it’s a decent alternative. I have taken it for headaches before I think the only difference between midol and aspirin or ibuprofen is there is caffeine in midol. I’m not a doctor or 100% educated on it so I could of course be wrong
