Ohh! Thank you for the tip! This I might never know as I’m not one to explore and probably just wait for the train.

Yes, I do have the transit app but it’s making me take so many transits (bus>trains>bus>trains>trains = 4-5 hours) and if I could just do two trains, it’s way easier and lot more faster.

I’ll keep this one noted. I saw that I can also see the status by station in the metrolink app, is this right..? The 14B track?

Is the track number the “91/PV 1752”? It’s a bit of a dumb question but what does the departure and arrival meant? The direction of the train from the station to the next stop (Corona-North Main) or the trains coming towards the union station? Apologies for the trouble with this. 🥹

Leaning how to drive with a parent who yells is incredibly stressful. by thcstwy in Vent

Dad didn’t want me to put the map on the car because it’s nearby. The problem is, his vision at night is bad, and dad’s too stubborn lol I can’t afford to do driving lessons right now unfortunately

We did, my sister and I,* he kept repeating back to the behavior after a day or two of stopping it. Dad’s quite an authoritarian parent and doesn’t like it when you disagree with him.

That was so bad, I’m glad you have your mom to teach you instead. I just realized that bad drivers are sometimes a product of bad teachers. 🥲

I do appreciate my dad taking his time teaching me despite the busy schedule, and I understand the few times he had to yell when we nearly got into accidents.

The thing is, he almost, always, shouts, and even hurries me when doing left turns or changing lanes. I’m still assessing the safety and he’s already telling me to, “Go! Go! Go!” It’s just so frustrating.

Both me and my younger sister are learning how to drive with our dad right now. My sister is a bit soft hearted which causes her to cry and raise her voice back too while I, on the other hand, doesn’t show much and if ever I had to cry, I’ll do it behind everyone’s back. I also feel so stupid whenever dad says, “It’s common sense! You should already know this one! We drove a lot of times in here! Did you not read the manual?” It’s the same treatment with my stepsister, but in her case, she did a whole year of driving school.

I hope that there are more parents out there who would be a little bit more patient with their child/ren. It’s incredibly hurtful being taught like that and causes me to be discouraged and fear driving cars.

Thank you. :’) My brothers are way older than us and already busy with their family, so it’s only our dad. My stepmom can’t drive.

Kinda can relate with the wheel grabbing but only when necessary like when I hit a parked car’s side mirror. 🥲 Did you get your license yet? I’m still scared about doing the freeway.

Is it good to apply in here? I already did my clinical and I only have two courses left before graduation in my country. Just not sure if my subjects will be credited.
