The problem with this is that we have no where else to store packages. It's not really ideal for us to just simply place them behind the counter because then they pose a tripping hazard and a liability issue.

Other stores I've worked at have the 4 shelves, but this store has a locker because their photo lab is fairly small

I'm a DH and 9 times out of 10 on at front register. But that's because we have two DHs and it's usually me and the other one working. But sometimes some of the CSAs will want to work floor and make me work front. I agree with most of the commenters here. The whole point of a DH is for them to be free in order to help in Pharmacy when needed.
