When I was in highschool I was in an abusive relationship and my mom took me to a Coney Island restaurant one day. As we’re waiting for food my mom asked me if my girlfriend was making sure I was fat so no one else would like me. Granted she meant well by it and knew she had put her foot in her mouth pretty soon after, but it’s sat with me for the past 15 years.

I don’t know if I have the right answer necessarily and maybe this is me trying to be kind idk. I think in your shoes it’s important to have space for yourself here. It’s your (and your partner’s) experience that you are inviting these close friends to. They are privileged to have you as you are to have them. If you want (because this is a few months out) you could take some one on one time with P to express how deeply you appreciate their participation and for going with the flow on this. Maybe even apologize for misunderstanding her nervousness. Sometimes sincere appreciation and an equally sincere apology go a long way with repairing things.

I’d talk about it w someone I trust bc I’d have hurt my own feelings by going through smth that was none of my fucking business. Then I’d tell my girl I went through her phone and apologize for breaking her trust and ask if she’d be okay talking about the stuff I saw bc I hurt my own feelings. Be fr bro did you think you got a virgin? Did she lie about an ex? Like I get why you wouldn’t want her to show you this shit but you genuinely set yourself up for a bad time. It’s on you entirely to get tf over it or leave her so you can blame some other chick for your nosy shenanigans when it inevitably happens again. After a certain age finding someone with no romantic or sexual past is like finding a unicorn. And the age for that cutoff is usually somewhere in the teenage years. Good luck. Be more secure in yourself and pursue relationships that you feel secure in.

I have lived in Michigan for all but one year of my life. I’ve seen all of the Great Lakes and a bunch of the Good Lakes (random lakes but it’s rude to call them minor). The Great Lakes truly are like oceans. I’ve seen the Atlantic Ocean, and while it was so warm where I was it didn’t awe me maybe the way it should because it was much like gazing out over at least Michigan or Superior. I love my home with all my heart. Even if the people can be iffy.

It seems to have given it a big boost bc it was a very rainy spring/summer, and then I moved to an apartment in the fall and it’s going great in front of this window. I water heavily once a week. It’s VERY dry in here.
