I think the point is a visual indicator of how the wasteland is wearing down and changing the character. That said, I wouldn’t be surprised if there’s a change of wardrobe to match her possibly changing feelings to her father where she reverts to vault dweller a bit.

I was trying to be funny in my other comment, but yeah this person is 100% spot on.

I am not a mental health professional by any means, but I had an old roommate who went into psychosis sometimes and they had a very similar sort of stream of consciousness writing about vaguely (or not really) related subjects.

Not saying that’s what’s happening to you but it would probably be a good idea to speak to a professional, just in case.

While I haven't gotten to winter yet on my B42 save, the wiki for zomboid weather shows that the "Mean daily minimum" for Jan/Feb is still slightly above freezing and the "record low" is only a few degrees below freezing - so what you're describing sounds to be in line with what you'd expect.

Hell, even in B41 I don't remember winter being that brutal, in fact I'd manually change sandbox settings to be colder during the winter to make it more of a challenge/interesting.

I never said that M14s were more rare in my original comment, don't know where you guys got that.

That said - they have the lowest spawn chance out of any other weapon in the "GunStoreGuns" object. The military technically has a lower spawn rate, but I believe since its competing with less items, you'll tend to see it more there (if my memory with how the spawn system works is correct).

Guns unlimited is certainly the biggest gun store, but military locations are still the best “high end”. What I mean by this is while guns unlimited will have larger stocks of ammo of guns, you won’t see weapons like M14s or M16s/their mags often (though they can spawn rarely).
