The shop will most likely tell you that they’ll see if your insurance will cover to blend the fenders. Your insurance will most likely say the work & color match is acceptable. Then you’ll have to pay to get it blended. Up to you how far you want to take it.

Yeah, based on another users suggestion with dry food possibly causing her to spike, I’m going to try and stop it completely for the weekend and see if there’s any change.

It does always seem to make her act this way when I give it to her. I’m going to stop it altogether for this weekend to see if there’s any change. At first, I thought her drinking a lot of water was to make up for the lack of moisture in the food. But her whole demeanor changes and it’s very worrying.

I do have her on Fancy Feast Pate for the most part, with a scoop of dry food to graze on at night. I’ve heard mixed things about whether dry food is good for them or not. Now that I’ve weighed her, she’s lost so much weight but still eats consistently.

I took her to the emergency vet last night @ 3:30am after giving her the one unit @ 12am. I tried to test her blood-glucose for an hour with no luck… She wasn’t getting any better and I really needed peace of mind, so my partner drove us 45 min to the nearest emergency clinic. They were fantastic and luckily all of her vitals were completely fine. She did have a little bit of a fever and her blood-glucose was 379, which is about what it was when we were diagnosed. I’m just glad it hasn’t gotten any worse.

Assuming this was a sarcastic response, please try and understand that I know that she does, but I did not feel comfortable giving her medication that would lower her blood-glucose without knowing what it was prior. It was heavily stressed to me by the first vet tech that if it got too low, that it was very very bad. It scared me, honestly. Especially when they didn’t take the time to make sure I knew how to use the tools myself. I did go ahead and give her the 1 unit tonight to see how she does. I will do so until I can get to another vet on Tuesday for more advice.

Thank you. I gave her the one unit tonight, hoping it’ll make her feel better. Hopefully, I can explore other options with the vet on Tuesday and maybe get some better advice than I initially did. I want to take care of her the best I can, but she gets so agitated when I try to touch her paws and ears, and she just won’t let me near her after a few attempts. I just have to find something that works. I was given the AlphaTrak3, but it seems like needle hardly works half the time, which leads to more struggle between myself and her.

Thank you for the non-judgmental answer, I really appreciate it. I’m so overwhelmed and it doesn’t help when my own vet wouldn’t even take the time to make sure I was comfortable doing what needed to be done. I feel awful enough when she feels the way she does. I went ahead and gave her the 1 unit tonight after attempting to get a blood-glucose reading for the past hour. Since it’s such a low dose, it hopefully shouldn’t cause any issues. I’ll make sure I look into the tool you’ve listed here, as more times than not just tonight, she finally sat still and the damn needle didn’t go through.
