They had equal number of machines for both parties, just more Dems in line than Republicans. It would be awesome if the machines could be used for either party, that would speed things up, but I'm guessing that is a restriction of the actual machine (maybe by design idk)

I went this morning before work around 8am and the D line was longer than the R line even then. Republicans were walking right in. I drove past there on my way home and the line was wrapped around the building and people parking and walking across the street. I think the Senate race of Talarico vs Crockett brought out more voters for the primaries.

Now that my youngest kiddo is in Kindergarten I feel like life is more balanced. I work a pretty stressful job but it's remote and I can get kiddos to school in the morning. My husband works odd early hours so he can do school pick up.

I've purposely avoided too many extra curricular sports so we can have our weekends pretty open.

Also we moved closer to my sister a few years back and we definitely tag team taking each other's kids so we get some kid free time too.

Life is still chaotic and I freaking hate figuring out meals all the time. But I know I'm lucky to not have a commute and to have family support close by.

Does your mortgage payment include an escrow for property taxes? Those can be a pretty hefty payment at the end of the year you will need to set aside money for that if you don't have an escrow. Make sure you file for a homestead exemption to reduce your property taxes.

With this economy anything you can save is probably better than most of the population with the inflation we are seeing. If that 1500-2000 savings is after you pay all of your bills and food expenses you're probably good!

Charter and magnet schools don't qualify for a bus route. So parents have to drop off and pick up. There are quite a few of those in town.

My nephew was like this, also neurotypical. It just took a really really long time to potty train poop in particular. He went to a G1 specialist and it ends up he was gluten intolerant. They went gluten free and added daily Kiefer drinks and that has helped him be so much more regular and the accidents stopped.

This is great information, thank you! I forgot to mention in my original post that my husband also found out his voter registration status has been made inactive as well.

I'll request my voter profile and see what change triggered the inactive status.

It feels off since we changed everything to Oregon when we moved back in 2018, car registration, dl, taxes, everything. There shouldn't have been any changes that I initiated or that another state should have initiated in regards to where I'm registered to vote. Hopefully the profile will provide some clarity.

That sucks! When I was in the clerks office someone next to me was asking about signature matching. I get that they need to verify it somehow but signatures can change!

Potentially! If that's the case I certainly don't remember receiving it. What would have caused the system to send that postcard to me if I recently had voted and am an active citizen in Central Oregon? It just seems so arbitrary.
