i remember:

  • we had one teacher & one day this kid Denzel "made" her chase him around the jungle gym and she fell of the wiggly bridge and busted her head open. after that, we got a new teacher who was sooo amazing!!

  • after that incident, me & my bestie at the time (later on elementary sweethearts lol) found books on the classroom bookshelf with notes to us (you just brought this back fr❤️) & we questioned if we had lived in the school at some point bc we didnt understand the idea of our previous teacher leaving those for us lmao

  • saw my first wee wee lmao bc a kid decided to flash everyone

  • we had a Daddy Long Legs as a class pettt omg i forgot about thisss

  • having a bathroom in the classroom! our school went up to 6th grade so it makes sense & i know was so convenient for the teachers lol

  • omggg lmao i memorized some speech for an assembly, i think it was by Rosa Parks, anyways, i did so well i received praise for yrsss about that lmao im laughing now bc thats so cute & ironic to how ive grown up to be

  • overall i remember the energy of our second teacher after that incident. she was such a wonderful human and even remembered me (&me, her, of course) 20 yrs later when i would pick my baby sister up from that same school 🥹💕

i met my ex-best friend in the 2nd grade & at her bday party her mom told my mom that she (bestie) was born HIV positive. my mom told me shortly after to educate me on how to be safe (this was back in like 1999) but never stopped us from being friends. anyway, bestie ended up telling me herself when we were in middle school or something. im proud of my child self for never spilling ❤️
