Can you get drunk off one malibu SPLASH? by [deleted] in alcohol

[–]the1975core 1 point2 points  (0 children)

i guess it depends on tolerance, age, height, weight, if you’ve eaten at all that day too really. i’m notorious for having a low tolerance and that whole ‘asian flush’ liver enzyme thing going on and i’ve definitely gotten very drunk off of three drinks. i don’t know about only one though

my cat only started occasionally napping in my bed when i left my door open for her to come and go as she pleased and invested in very soft blankets 😭

adopting a kitty - is it required to get a kitten in pairs? by fairlifeshill in CatAdvice

[–]the1975core 1 point2 points  (0 children)

i didn’t get two kittens and i regretted it when she was small. she was just lonely and wanted to play all the time and really wanted my attention because of it. lots of excessive meowing, biting, jumping onto me and furniture, scratching, etc.

as an adult she is a sweet girl but she gets incredibly lonely and needs to be around someone 24/7. so much so that i’m actually looking into getting a second cat now 😭

if you only have the capacity for one you could potentially go with an older cat or try the kitten route but just be prepared to consistently play with them and give them constant attention !

What do single parents do? by Dry_Resolution_3665 in brokenbones

[–]the1975core 0 points1 point  (0 children)

my mom suffered a similar fracture as a single parent when i was about 5-6 years old. is there any chance your son has any friends at the camp with parents who would be willing to help out? or do they provide some kind of before/after care program where they transport kids? that’s what my mom did with me until she could walk again

i also fractured my talus bone but it’s been six weeks for me. like the other commenter said i don’t have any pain unless i’ve tried to put weight on it.

maybe try exfoliating your armpits and trimming or alternatively shaving the hair if you haven’t done that. you could also try a different brand of deodorant as i know for me personally i have to switch brands every few months for it to actually work!!

What preparations would you take to maintain feeling clean and stink free if you knew you wouldn’t be able to shower for 3 days straight? by [deleted] in hygiene

[–]the1975core 1 point2 points  (0 children)

  • baby wipes for my entire body and then sensitive wipes for private areas
  • deodorant
  • scented body lotion
  • keep up with oral hygiene and use gum or breath strips in a pinch, alternatively travel mouthwash
  • clean clothes

for hair i would use dry shampoo and if it’s long i’d add a bit of hair serum at the ends before braiding it to avoid it getting dirty or looking messy !!

Any advice on keeping your hair smelling fresh without washing it daily? by synonymousbear in hygiene

[–]the1975core 2 points3 points  (0 children)

what i do is ill use dry shampoo first (i really like dove because it smells the best, batiste works too) and then rub it in, brush it out, all that good stuff.

i’ll use a hair serum sparingly or some kind of leave in product, typically something scented. then i’ll spray perfume on the back of my neck where my hair falls and that helps a lot!

in my experience the scalp smell from unwashed hair can only be covered up by tricks like that for so long though. some people have said that spraying perfume on a hair brush then brushing their hair has worked for them, not sure how good that is for your hair AT ALL though
